About Mrs. Canary

Oh Me, Oh My!

December 6th, 2007 @ 12:03 pm by Mrs. Canary

Well, there has been so much going on, I don’t even know where to start. Forgive me for the lack of posts… it’s not that there isn’t anything going on… there’s too much going on and it’s been happening so fast I haven’t even had a chance to let the dust settle, let alone blog about it! But I got this wonderful package in the mail yesterday… and I just had to write about it.

As I’ve always said, blogland is such a wonderful place! While surfing blogs over the summer, I discovered one of my favorites, dear diary: martawrites, and met the amazing Marta. The blog alone gives me oodles of warm + fuzzies along with tons of inspiration. Not only is Marta a fantastic writer, she’s also a designer and crafter. While browsing her site, I noticed some really great notebooks (my favorite is the Dear Diary) and stationery that she’s created. I’m not giving it all away, but let’s just say I purchased a few for some special ladies in my life.

Marta also makes wonderful “Bride Books” that she can customize with your names and wedding date. Each page is adorned with a sweet, not cheesy, quote on love and hand bound with ribbon. I showed Mr. Canary our book last night and even he was excited. We’re going to use ours as a guest book, but it’d be perfect as a shower gift or just a journal between you and your future husband to share your thoughts and dreams.

The customized first page of another bride’s book.My bride book all wrapped up. Marta makes even the little details wonderful surprises. She left me little notes throughout the package– on the tag for the book, a card within the package, and even my first entry in my book.

One of the quotes in the Bride Book. There is one on every page!

Marta is a dream to work with. We communicated frequently via email and she was so patient with helping me select swatches and colors to complement my wedding colors and tone. So if you’re looking for something special for a stationery lover for the holidays, check out Marta’s wares… they’re too sweet to pass up!

Oohh….Miss Canary. I am salivating over ALL OF IT. That bride book is gorgeous and I *heart* the use of the love quotes inside. And the mini diary is so cute– what a great way to record the months before your wedding. Your goods all look so dreamy– what a fun package to get!

The bride book is sooooooooo cute!!! I tried looking for it on her website, but I couldn’t find it. Is it just the journals and you just request it to be a bride book?

Oops! Sorry about that Stacy. I found it in this post:

Just email Marta and request one. Tell her what colors you’re looking for and she’ll send you swatches for the custom cover.
