Who’s Weird Now?

December 6th, 2007 @ 4:30 pm by Mrs. Bubblegum

I posted about my weird color scheme earlier.  I feeeel as though I did not do my color scheme justice.  Therefore, in the name of my color scheme, here is my 10-minute inspiration board:

This is really a fun exercise.  For anyone who hasn’t done it, pleeeease take the time to.  It literally took 10 minutes of saving pictures and 10 minutes of arranging them.  And I just feel so much better about my “weird” color scheme.  All my fears about having a Christmas-themed wedding in the spring are officially dispelled.  In a fit of abandonment of all modesty, I must say that it’s beautiful. :)

okay the inspiration board makes it sound even less wierd than it ever did in the first place (which it never did, hee hee)

I think its SO SO SO cool and creative! A little summer for the middle of winter to make us feel warm!

Lovely!!! Such a creative color combination– fresh, yet warm and passionate. I think it’s going to translate really beautifully.

I’m glad you put the board up… I was having a hard time visualizing what you were envisioning. This color scheme looks great!

Actually, it’s a really fresh, clean combination! You’re just outside the pastel group and the saturated reds are gorgeous.

i was feeling the same way with my color scheme: main colors sage and white, accenting of light orange. I don’t have an inspiration board, but i did put to good use the profile page that theknot.com gives you!

It’s not weird, it’s the same as mine!

And the wife of one of the groomsmen is making us a quilt in the wedding colors, so our bedroom will eventually be that, too.

it looks great! i love how the colors come together like that. i did an inspiration color scheme board for myself and it made me very excited to see the colors work together in real life and not just in my head.

I am getting married on April 5, 2008 and I have the SAME EXACT color scheme. I know how you feel…I hate telling people our wedding colors because I know the exact reaction I will get….red and green? Really? I love it and seeing that someone else has the same color scheme for a spring wedding makes me so relieved so I thought you’d feel the same!

That color scheme reminds me of cherries, which I would never consider Christmas-y. :-) I think those look great together! And like the previous poster said, very different and FRESH. I might say RE-freshing, since you see so much of the same these days! :-)
