2.
AOEBuckeye says:

The single most important thing I’m looking for is quality. Paper thickness, full envelope lining, and quality engraving. But being pretty sure helps too!

3.
Alissa says:

I think setting the tone for the wedding is so important, getting the guests excited for the big day! This can be done in so many ways. It seems like I always hear brides say they dont want to spend time and money on invites because everyone just throws them away- I disagree! I love getting the invitations and always hold on to them as a memento.

It’s important for us to have unique invitations that reflect a little bit of our personalities.

25.
JCM9608 says:

The most important thing that we are looking for in our wedding invitations is for it to be *functional* and not just “something pretty” because after all, money is being spent on them.

It should be helpful and clear to our invitees who, what, when, where, how to get there, etc., and to answer most of their questions regarding the event. formality.

26.
Emily says:

We’re still on the hunt for wedding invitations. The most important thing we’re looking for is that they blend modern and traditional, while looking beautiful. We like to think that we’re a mix of both and our wedding should mirror that. And it’s the invitations that set the stage…

27.
JW says:

for me it would be design - traditional with a modern twist.

28.
Ying says:

something unique, something beautiful and still affordable!

29.
Jess says:

Ooh, this is perfect because we are 99% sure we’ll be getting our invitations from Invitation Consultants! The most important thing for us in the invitations is that they fold and can be printed on both side of the fold on the inside–because my fiance is German and so we will need our invitations to be bilingual.

35.
tberry says:

It hink the most important thing is that the invitation express both the couple’s taste and the mood or feel of the wedding. An invitation that can gove the feel fo a formal wedding and yet express the essence of who a not quite convential couple are is a work of art.

36.
heidi says:

The most important thing to me is that the invitations are classy and elegant, yet unique so that it evokes the feel of my wedding…and affordable too!

37.
tberry says:

My typing is awful. Here is the corrected version:

I think the most important thing is that the invitations express both the couple’s taste adn the moood or feel fo the wedding. As invitation that can give the feel of a formal wedding and yet express the essence of a not quite conventional couple is a work of art.

38.
krystyli says:

Organization! I love when the invitation is very clean, not cluttered and overly embelished - although it is an opportunity for the bride and groom to express their newly merged personalities and give a glimpse into the wedding day design, the underlying purpose is to convey the important wedding information to the guests!

39.
adgirl says:

I work in advertising and am surrounded by fresh and inspiring creative work every day - therefore, I’ve had a difficult time deciding on invitations for my upcoming May 2008 wedding. I want them to help set the tone for the very glamorous cocktail party-style evening wedding we’re planning on having. I want them to be slightly quirky, as we’re staying away from standard wedding invitation wording and doing something a little more creative, and most importantly, I want people to say ‘Ooooh! How very cool!’ when they open them!

40.
Linda says:

I think the important thing is to reflect the style of what type of wedding/reception you are having.

41.

45.

46.
smo says:

I want them to match our wedding colors and be affordable.

47.

I want the invitation to be of good quality paper and to match the overall theme of the wedding. I’m a traditional girl, but I also like to add trendy elements. I want my invitation to convey both of these, so I want a square invitation, but with a formal, more traditional script font. I also love details like simple square or beaded embossed borders. Fortunately, there’s a William Arthur invitation that I love at Invitation Consultants that would be perfect.

I want our invites to be something that I am proud of, that reflect our desire to incorporate our love of wine, the venue and our relaxed attitudes in the form of paper, ink and embellishments.
