The single most important thing I’m looking for is quality. Paper thickness, full envelope lining, and quality engraving. But being pretty sure helps too!
I think setting the tone for the wedding is so important, getting the guests excited for the big day! This can be done in so many ways. It seems like I always hear brides say they dont want to spend time and money on invites because everyone just throws them away- I disagree! I love getting the invitations and always hold on to them as a memento.
Everything has to match… im a freak like that. Therefore my invites will set the tone for my cake design, my menus, placecards favor tags… you name it!! ![]()
Style. Something that invokes DH and my personal style and the tone/inspiration of our wedding day.
The most important thing I want in my invitations is to match my colors and theme. The second most important thing, of course, is that I can afford them!
The most important element is that they reflect us as a couple and set the tone for our destination wedding — fun and lighthearted!
The most important thing for me is that the invitation is unique, and very “us.”
I want my invitations to set the tone of the wedding and also be able to reflect us as a couple.
I really want my invitations to be unique. I want them to be something my guests haven’t seen before.
Setting the tone, introducing or carrying on our wedding theme/motif, and reflecting our style.
I want them to be a perfect physical representation of my fiance and I. Fun, classy, structured and a tad bit scheduled ![]()
Our invitations are the first glimpse guests have of our event, so it’s absoutely crucial that the invitations convey that message immediately upon sight!
Hi, I would love my invitations to set the tone of the wedding, and have a personal touch to them! ![]()
I want pretty paper, fun designs and personality! Is that too much to ask?
The most important thing? That my future MIL likes them (trust me, not an easy task!!). Other than that, they must be simple, classic and personal.
I just want them to say ‘wow’ and to have the design carried through the entire wedding.
Unique, stylish, goes with my theme. I want the guests to realize the “tone” for the wedding when they receive them, and they should make our guests really want to come!
Most important thing for me is that I have invitations with a pocketfold!
The most important thing to me is that they reflect our personality (fun and modern but with a touch of the traditional) and the style of the wedding. I want people to look at them and think that they “fit” us and be excited to come to the wedding!
It’s important for us to have unique invitations that reflect a little bit of our personalities.
The most important thing that we are looking for in our wedding invitations is for it to be *functional* and not just “something pretty” because after all, money is being spent on them.
It should be helpful and clear to our invitees who, what, when, where, how to get there, etc., and to answer most of their questions regarding the event. formality.
We’re still on the hunt for wedding invitations. The most important thing we’re looking for is that they blend modern and traditional, while looking beautiful. We like to think that we’re a mix of both and our wedding should mirror that. And it’s the invitations that set the stage…
for me it would be design - traditional with a modern twist.
something unique, something beautiful and still affordable!
Ooh, this is perfect because we are 99% sure we’ll be getting our invitations from Invitation Consultants! The most important thing for us in the invitations is that they fold and can be printed on both side of the fold on the inside–because my fiance is German and so we will need our invitations to be bilingual.
I need a printer that is tri-lingual - I need the invite in Korean, Chinese and English! And that the invitation matches our themes.
I’m looking for invitations that are classy and clean. Something that shows that a lot of effort and detail was put into the invitation and shows that we truly care about sharing this big day with the person on the other end of the invite.
I also want them to be something that expresses me and my FI and allows us to come through in the invite and when they are opened, our guests will say, That’s so Mandy and Joe! ![]()
I want invites that will set the mood! I want them to be one of a kind. Something that I can frame and love for a very long time!
I want our invites to be unique and timeless….and of course to reflect the time and energy we are spending on our special day!
It hink the most important thing is that the invitation express both the couple’s taste and the mood or feel of the wedding. An invitation that can gove the feel fo a formal wedding and yet express the essence of who a not quite convential couple are is a work of art.
The most important thing to me is that the invitations are classy and elegant, yet unique so that it evokes the feel of my wedding…and affordable too!

I think the most important thing is that the invitations express both the couple’s taste adn the moood or feel fo the wedding. As invitation that can give the feel of a formal wedding and yet express the essence of a not quite conventional couple is a work of art.
Organization! I love when the invitation is very clean, not cluttered and overly embelished - although it is an opportunity for the bride and groom to express their newly merged personalities and give a glimpse into the wedding day design, the underlying purpose is to convey the important wedding information to the guests!
I work in advertising and am surrounded by fresh and inspiring creative work every day - therefore, I’ve had a difficult time deciding on invitations for my upcoming May 2008 wedding. I want them to help set the tone for the very glamorous cocktail party-style evening wedding we’re planning on having. I want them to be slightly quirky, as we’re staying away from standard wedding invitation wording and doing something a little more creative, and most importantly, I want people to say ‘Ooooh! How very cool!’ when they open them!
I think the important thing is to reflect the style of what type of wedding/reception you are having.
The main thing I look for in my invitations is for them to set the tone of the wedding. We are having a very intimate affair for just family and family friends so I want our invites to make the guest feel just as special as they are to us!
Simple yet sophisticated. I don’t like invitations that are clogged with pages and pages of info yet it’s hard to decipher when/where the ceremony is.

Color! I am not a fan of cream-on-white or silver accents. I want purples and greens in a leaf or vine motif! Wedding invitations don’t have to be “traditional” — they should reflect the couple!
I notice the desgin and style of the invitation. Creative invitations are the best.
I want them to match our wedding colors and be affordable.
I want the invitation to be of good quality paper and to match the overall theme of the wedding. I’m a traditional girl, but I also like to add trendy elements. I want my invitation to convey both of these, so I want a square invitation, but with a formal, more traditional script font. I also love details like simple square or beaded embossed borders. Fortunately, there’s a William Arthur invitation that I love at Invitation Consultants that would be perfect.
I really want a vintage look with modern elements. How complicated is that!? It can’t be cheesy, but it doesn’t have to be fancy letterpress. I just want something that isn’t too traditional or BORING!

The most important thing is that they be fun & cute which will set the mood for the the ceremony.
I want our invitations to set the tone for the wedding. It should emulate fun, fun, fun, a little romance, and modernistic style.
I think they should reflect the informality/formality of the ceremony and the personality of the couple.
I love the feeling that the couple really cares about their wedding and wants to make it welcoming but, moreover, that they really care about the person they’re inviting!
I want our invites to be beautiful and cohesive and creative. I want them just to feel special.
For me, as a graphic designer, the most important thing is for my invites to adequately convey the important information and yet still be cool enough that someone might save them for future reference like I do with interesting invites, flyers, cards, etc.
I want our invites to be something that I am proud of, that reflect our desire to incorporate our love of wine, the venue and our relaxed attitudes in the form of paper, ink and embellishments.
The style. This is the first thing the guests will see, they sort of set the tone for the wedding.
I like how invitations have pocketfolds b/c inserts do not fall out when you open the invites. ![]()

I want my wedding invitation to make people get excited about the wedding every time they look at it on the fridge, on the bulletin board they put it, or whatever. I really want something unique and special to FI and I.
they must be beautiful and unique WITHOUT breaking the bank!
My honey and I have been dating for 7 years now (we were high school sweethearts), and people have been asking us when we’re going to get married for almost that long! We want our invitations to express the fact that we waited JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT!
I look for color, and a modern feel. Those are really important to me.
I think the “flow” of the invitations is very important. From the save the dates to the invitations to the escort cards the design must flow. I believe the invitation pulls the inspiration for the wedding together!
the invitation needs to show the couple’s personality.
no clutter, and most importantly, no spelling mistakes!
The most important thing for me is that [our save the date cards/invitations] be kept and displayed for all to see! No seriously, I always keep great cards/invites. And great invites always get posted on my bulletin board at work for all to see. Then I get to brag about that friend. So you see… I just want us to be bragged about by those we love! ![]()
The invitation must set the tone of the wedding, and the couple too.

We want invitations that are like us….practical and simple, but with an edgy/modern twist
simple but fun, and something that looks like there was a lot of thought behind it - I also love multi-piece invitations with lots of inserts!
