Makeover Do Over - Yeah!

December 17th, 2007 @ 2:57 pm by Mrs. Petunia

I hadn’t really wanted to spend the extra money on a second hair and make-up trial, but in the end, it was well worth it! I was much happier with the results I got and it was great fun working with the team from the SoBe Makeup Studio!

Remember my first trial? This second time, the make-up was much softer and pretty darn close to what I asked for:

I think the hair is beautiful, too! I love the back:

And here’s a side glance:

Mr. Petunia was home to see the results, and I could tell immediately that this look was a winner! The look on his face spoke volumes and was enough to let me know that having a second trial was in fact the right decision — thanks as usual readers for convincing me to keep looking until I was satisfied!

Wow! I haven’t been on Weddingbee in a while and missed your first trial. After reviewing those pics against these there is no contest - I love your hair in this trial - so romantic yet polished! Your makeup is very becoming (jeez, I sound like my grandmother) for your coloring - might go a little heavier on the eyes though. Lipcolor is stunning.

That’s a much more flattering lip color, and the hair from the side view is gorgeous!

I agree with everyone! Very stunning!

I had my hair/make-up trial the day I did my bridal portraits - so I could take advantage of the money spent!! My husband had spent the entire day working on our bathroom remodel. I remember coming in to say HI to him and he could not stop staring. He had never really seen me in make-up - especially that much make-up! I do love when the men get that ‘wow’ look on their faces!

Was it the same person that did both trials?

Yes! Love the second one better!

Thanks everyone!

This is a completely different person who did this one (actually, two: one for hair and one for makeup).

I probably should have faced #1 and told her I wasn’t happy and looked into having her do a second round at no cost, after the whole being late, etc., but I didn’t have it in me (weasel that I am!).

I am very pleased — enough to put a deposit right there and then — it’s not like I was about to get a third one of these done!

Beautiful!! I especially love the way your hair is in an updo without looking overly tight and formal.

Uh, yeah, no question. LOVE the hair and the makeup is a huge improvement. And for jayypeeee–if you have doubts, stand up for yourself now rather than hoping for the best! You want to have confidence on your wedding day that you will be happy when you see the work of your hair and makeup person/people.

Yes, thats much better! It looks so much more natural. I love the back of your hair.

I went for a makeup trial last weekend. I brought in a picture that was a smokey-eye look but with light shimmery browns and was very springy and pretty. She interpreted it with thick black eyeliner all around my eyes (because “it will show up better”). I looked like a vampire!

I’m definitely gonna try someone else.
