It’s that time of year– my favorite time of year, actually. I know we should always be thankful for our blessings, but something about the holidays makes me especially grateful for everyone I have in my life: my loving family, wonderful friends, and the person who makes my heart so joyful: Mr. Jasmine.

Yes, this time of year brings out my schmaltzy side (although Mr. Jasmine would say my schmaltzy side is evident year-round) and I thought this was the perfect time to share a favorite article of mine, “Watching the Couples Go By”. Written by Herbert Stein for Slate magazine in 1997, it really touched my heart and has really stayed with me the past ten years.
