Breakfast At Tiffany’s

December 27th, 2007 @ 11:40 am by Mrs. Flamingo

We all know or have heard of the famous “Today Show Throws a Martha Stewart Wedding” contest. On October 5, 2007, Cody Helgeson, 22, and Jessica Mapel, 23, winners of the contest, wed before millions of TV viewers in a lavish event planned by the Today Show, Martha Stewart, and a team of Martha Stewart Weddings’ editors.

I’m completely in love with the whole event, the details, the colors… simply everything, so I thought I would highlight the oh-so fabulous wedding featured in this winter’s Martha Stewart Weddings magazine.

A beautiful combination of pinks, salmon and Tiffany blue… perfect for the Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed wedding. I absolutely adore the huge gems carved from ice glistening on the bar. Even the cab car pic is a classic - what a beautiful bride.

White-coated waiters served bite-size breakfast foods, like these miniature French toast. A breakfast themed reception is such a unique way to surprise your guest. Beautiful pale blue pearls were added to the brides bouquet for some extra glam, and not to mention the vintage brooches used to tie the beautiful silk ribbon.

Vintage stamps with a likeness of Audrey Hepburn were used on invitations. What about the out of town guest gifts: a DVD of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” a bottle of Sterling Vineyards wine (the couple’s favorite), a Martha Stewart Crafts photo album and label, Eleni’s cookies, and a box of Cracker Jacks (a nod to the movie)… so perfect.

A+ I love this wedding. Vintage and so perfect!

For sure… if I had all the money in the world I would have a Martha Wedding….

but like you Mrs.Emerald, I would of never put the 2 colors together… but in the end the outcome is stunning… freaken Martha. Why is everything associated with her… so nice!

It was all gorgeous- and as a fan of BAT, I would be worried they wouldn’t capture the feeling of the movie properly, but they really did (without all the sad parts!). One thing I would have done differently- had the bride and groom enter wearing masks ala Holly & Paul on their day out!

I love it. This is very close to the colors I’ve chosen; pink and aqua.
