Mrs. Bubblegum's Picture

About Mrs. Bubblegum

For today, we’ll stick with story #1: I bought my dress!! I mean, litttterally bought it. Meaning it is currently hanging beautifully in my closet! That’s right, I am HARD CORE.

And honestly, it was FUN. It took under two hours, I tried on about 8 or 9 dresses (there’s really no way of knowing for sure), and I walked out with the one dress that I had been looking at since the day I got engaged. The whole experience was really a lot cooler than I thought it would be - you get to wear a corset bra, a petticoat, EVERYTHING!!! I felt like Scarlett O’Hara!! Who knows, maybe tomorrow I’ll have a southern drawl???

Really, the biggest problem was that I liked too many. Even now, I’m sad that I can’t have them all. And here they are (please excuse the weird “mirror face” I seem to be making)!!!

(Mr. Bubblegum, nNNNNOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

So here’s the challenge: a) Which one did I pick?!?!?! and b) HOW did I get myself stuck in my dress?!?!

Stay tuned!!!

My guess is either 1, 2, or 6.
…and you got stuck because the zipper wouldn’t unzip; at least that’s what happened to me when I tried on a bridesmaid dress from David’s Bridal.
Can’t wait for your next post!

1, 2, or 6? I like 6; your waist looks tiny in it!

I vote dress # 6, it’s the most flattering, in my opinion!

You look gorgeous in the all! Love that you got pictures in all your gowns!

I too had to be cut out of a gown…at Priscilla of Boston…way embarrassing. I was the “big” girl in the store at a size 8!

All very pretty!

I really like #5, but I think you picked #2, you have a huge smile on your face in the second picture of #2.

I’m thinking you picked dress 4. And although I like 2, you’d totally know the dress style number you picked.

And you got stuck because one of the little seatbelt thingies in a strapless got hooked onto some underthing you were wearing.

#5 is my dress!
You look great in all of them, how did you ever choose?! I think I like #3 on you the best because of the neckline.

My guess is #1 or #6 and that you got stuck b/c the petticoat got zipped into the dress somehow.

I’m surprised to see so many people liked #6 as well. So now I think its totally just #6.

Teehee! It’s fun leaving you all in suspense!!

Jessica - YES it was AWESOME leaving with it. I’ve been telling people all day that I got my dress, and they’re like, okay… but then I’m like, “no, I mean, it’s HOME” - that’s when they don’t believe me.

lali - aw shucks, thanks! It’s naturally wavy (sometimes bordering on curly), but it’s frizzy, unreliable, and unruly, so I use Herbal Essences Set Me Up Mousse - the extra hold kind.

jcm9608 - seriously, my SIL just kept snapping pictures, which was awesome. And it was awesome that the people working there had no issue with it.

I have a similar body type and my dress was a similar style to #6. Mine just had a fuller skirt. The sweeping of fabric around the waist was so flattering and emphasized just the right spots.
