Before I reveal the dress that won, I’d like to take this time to give an honorable mention to the runners up.
Dresses #1 and #6 - I’d like to thank you for being beautiful, yet simple. You were the favorites of both my mom and SIL. In fact, you both made the final 3. Unfortunately, #6, you made my back look icky (juuuuust trust me), and #1, you did not fit me as well in the waist as the winner. But a valiant effort by you both.
Dress #2 and #3 - I am really into the idea of lace overlays, and you both exhibited them beautifully. In fact, the more I look at the pictures, the more I think I love you - especially the lace train of #2 and the corset back of #3. But, alas, you were very heavy to wear, and again, you could have fit me better.
Dress #5 - My mom said you made me look “innocent.” Well, since I will be coupling you with hot red shoes, “innocent” wasn’t really the look I was going for. But you were breezy and comfortable and will make some bride very happy.
WHICH LEEEEEAVVVVVESSS - DRESS #4!!!!!!!!
Dress #4 - You have been the apple of my eye since the day I got engaged. I first fell in love with you when I saw your picture online. My love solidified when we came together as one on this fateful day. You are simple, yet interesting. And you fit me perfectly - with my shoes, with no alterations - and I thank you for that. Let us all put our hands together for Dress #4.
After the awards ceremony, I took Dress #4 home and tried her on again (is it weird that my dress is a her? I don’t have a name for her yet). I tried to take more pictures, but my full-length mirror is sorta tiny, so this is the best I could do (I did end up getting the green sash, which I do not plan to put into a bow in the back. However, they needed to order me a new one because there was gook on it, so I don’t have it yet… this is the sash that came with the dress, and y’know what? I kinda like it this way… so one more decision to make.):

While zipping her up, a RENEGADE FUZZY leapt into the zipper, causing the zipper to distort. I, however, did not notice this little issue until trying to remove the dress, at which point - I got stuck. I got stuck in my dress within 20 minutes of getting her home. I frantically pulled at the zipper. Nothing. I tried to pull the dress over my head, but the beautiful structure of the dress would not allow it. Forget trying to pull it over my hips. I very carefully removed the fuzzy and pulled the zipper again. And again. Relentlessly for TEN MINUTES until FINALLY I gave up and whined, “Misssssster Bubbbbbblegum, I neeeeeeed you, I’m stuck in my DRESS!”
Now, poor Mr. BG did not want to see me in my dress until the wedding. However, dire times call for desperate measures, so I turned the dress backwards so that he would not get the full effect. He pulled the zipper. He tried to pull it over my head. He pulled the zipper again. Still nothing. During a whining fit, I pulled again, and VOILA! I was FREEEEEEEE!!!!!! And luckily, with the fuzzy removed, the zipper now functions perfectly. And that, my friends, was the story of the renegade fuzzy.
