When I first started wedding planning, I didn’t realize how important blogs would be to the process. But I’ve learned so much from reading the blogs of other brides and wedding industry professionals; they’re such a fantastic resource for inspiration, diy projects, and vendor suggestions/reviews.

I’ve recently noticed an increase in the number of wedding coordinators with blogs. It’s such a great idea– brides can learn more about the personal style of each coordinator, what kinds of weddings he/she works on, and who their favorite vendors are. Likewise, coordinators are able to reach a greater potential base of clients. Everyone wins! Here are a few of my favorite wedding coordinator blogs:

Angel Swanson, Events of Love and Splendor

Of course, I had to post about my wonderful coordinator, Angel Swanson. Angel happens to be one of the most stylish and creative wedding coordinators in southern California– and I would be completely lost without her! Her wedding blog is fabulous because it not only includes recaps and gorgeous photographs of the weddings she coordinates, but also includes tidbits about her life and tastes like her favorite perfumes, restaurants, and jewelry. It’s a lovely little peek into her world.

Simply Modern Weddings

Christina of Simply Modern Weddings has such a fresh, personal voice– her blog is such a treat to read. She includes great ideas for invitations, tablescapes, and decor and also details the beautiful weddings she plans. She’s also a newlywed herself so she has a great understanding of what brides-to-be are going through.

Jennifer Johnson is a popular wedding coordinator in picturesque Orange County, California. Her blog is fabulous because of the attention to detail and gorgeous tablescapes featured– it’s an amazing resource for ideas.

Soiree Special Events are an event coordinator company in Washington DC. I’m addicted to their blog and not just because of the fresh, punchy colors. They have great posts about giveaways, Washington DC area wedding events, etiquette, and the beautiful weddings they plan.

Xochitl Gonzalez and Mayra Castillo are the co-founders of Always a Bridesmaid, a New York based event coordination company. As an advice column junkie, I’m addicted to their Always a Bridesmaid blog in which they answer queries from brides on all areas of wedding planning. It’s a great resource for information on quandaries all brides will face and they answer the questions with grace, humor, and panache.
