It’s All In The Details

January 12th, 2008 @ 2:28 pm by Mrs. Daffodil

…as in the accessories! Lately, I have become obsessed with searching for the perfect jewelry. I was surprised by how hard it has been to find even a few pieces that will both complement my dress and convey the overall sense of lighthearted freshness, class, romance, and just simple prettiness that I hope the wedding will exude. While I really loved a lot of very vintage pieces of jewelry that are abundant in bridal salons, it didn’t quite fit with my dress, given how simple it is.

After browsing online for hours on end and visiting a few salons, I am currently leaning towards a combo of crystals and small pearls with just a hint of sparkle. I found these gorgeous earrings at Haute Bride in San Francisco yesterday…

Haute Bride E271 earrings

Aren’t they just so simple, romantic and gorgeous?! They had a matching necklace to go along with it too, though it is brand new so they do not have a picture up yet. I am just absolutely in love with them! The only thing holding me back is that I want to make sure I know all my options and I also want to bring my dress in and try everything on together to make sure it all goes.

The necklace I saw there was something similar to this, though a smaller version:

lee ann lariat L171 from haute bride
The Leeann Lariat also from Haute Bride

Other jewelry I found online that are still on my “high potential” list:

carolee crystal and pearl vine drop earrings
These Crystal and Pearl Vine Drop Earrings by Carolee

Dahlia2 from Bella-Jewels
The Dahlia from MEG Jewelry. This one is kind of similar to the one I liked at Haute Bride, except a bit longer and accents along the chain.

rudy from bella-jewels
The Rudy also from MEG Jewelry

carolee crystal flower
The Crystal Flower and White Pearl Pendant Necklace from Carolee…an absolutely gorgeous necklace that one of my bridesmaids wore at her own wedding!

The Pearl and Crystal Flower Y Necklace from Carolee

Anyway, I thought I would post these as inspirations to you all! They all range in price, with Carolee being the most affordable (Carolee’s prices averaged ~$40-$80ish, and the MEG and Haute Bride ones are more around $150-$250 I believe).

More inspirations to come as I continue on my search for the perfect accessories! smiley1091

If you like that style of jewelry, also try Creme de Luxe and ask for Jenn.

i make custom jewelry (using sterling silver chain/wire, swarovski crystals, pearls… any material). i have the same problem as you— always in search of the perfect accessories. If you have a picture in your mind of what you want, I can probably recreate that for you for half the price of what they charge. I’ve done that for a lot of my friends. there are also lots of jewelry options on etsy.com. i have a shop there (without any items due to lack of time). anyway, good luck!

i like how the 2nd necklace has a long chain in the back, and it’s really delicate and classy looking. but i’m also always partial to carolee ;).
