A Five Star Afternoon…

January 14th, 2008 @ 5:57 pm by Mrs. Penguin

Weddingbee readers KatyStardust, Cara, Miss Cherryblossom, and I were out in full force this past Sunday at the Five Star Afternoon Bridal Event at the Four Seasons San Francisco! To any of you Bay Area brides-to-be that missed it…GO NEXT YEAR. I’ll be married by then, but I’ll be there. Hopefully I’ll have an engaged friend in tow, but even if I don’t…there’s no way I’d miss it. The food and drink alone are well worth the admission fee. Here are some pictures and info!

Cara, Miss Cherryblossom, and I were the first in the door and bum rushed the makeup trial booth. Cherryblossom got a BEAUTIFUL makeup trial (a blog on it later from her!) by Amy with Jade Studio Productions.

Jin Wang designs were on display. She’s officially my new favorite designer! The dresses were SO gorgeous and elegant!

There were tons of floral displays, including bouquets, like this really neat wire wrapped one from Making Arrangements Floral Design. Don’t I look so bridal?

z12783102

FOOD! Cupcakes from Sibby’s Cupcakery, Prime Rib wraps, Prime Rib carving station, and seafood station all by the Four Seasons Catering staff.

Tablescapes and Floral Arrangements galore! I was so inspired!

And last but not least, some hot bee-on-bee photo ops, courtesy of #1, #2 (me and Miss CB).
Photo Booths by Orange Exposures. This was probably one of my favorite things at the fair! Guests would LOVE a photobooth at your wedding! Orange Exposures provides you with the set up, operation, and tear down of their booths. Photos print in about 10 seconds for your guests to take home, and best of all, you get a copy of all the photos taken in a book! How cool!

We even got to meet Cat Seto! We forgot to take a picture, however. Her designs made me swoon. You know it’s bad when you get majorly turned on by letterpress. Oh well. Everyone’s got their vices….Oh yes. And the double-fisting was out in full force. ’Cause if you’ve got two hands, you might as well use them.

Hey thanks for the kind words about the photo booth - it’s been quite the hit and we’re actually refining them so they’ll be even better later this season!

Agreed on all points - that show was kick ***! I might also be there next year as well - for the food and booze. Was so fun to meet you both!

The tablescapes room was my ultimate favorite - I got so many inspirational ideas!!
