What’s Up DOC?

January 14th, 2008 @ 10:32 am by Mrs. Jelly Beans

Our wedding day has come and gone and we have so many people to thank! We were very fortunate to have been surrounded by amazing vendors and resources. One of them being our Day of Wedding Coordinator, Stacey Price from Marry Me Productions.

Again just like our photographer, Miv, I met Stacey at the first wedding show I attended. Her bubbly and warm personality was what made her stand out in the growing industry. She even remembered me a few wedding shows down the road. If that’s not fate then I don’t know what is. Then and there I knew that I wanted her in my corner to coordinate our special day.

If you are addicted to wedding shows and all things wedding like me, you are sure to come across Stacey in an episode of Life Network’s Rich Bride, Poor Bride, a Canada based wedding series. I was so super excited for Stacey and myself when her episode aired. It was icing on my wedding planning cake.

Stacey was my support and my beacon throughout the entire wedding process. She was prompt in responding to my endless emails and questions. She was my sounding board and my cheerleader/therapist through the euphoric highs and sucky lows of wedding planning ie. when I found out our tent draping fabric burned less than 2 weeks before the wedding. She was my support when no one else understood why I needed (insert anything “cute, sparkly, pink and brown” here). The day of the wedding, just like Visa, she was everywhere you want to be. :)

Our day would not have gone so smoothly if it were not for her! There is no doubt in my mind that we would hire Stacey all over again! “Hmmm… definitely something to think about”. (Don’t worry Mr. Jelly Beans I am not planning another wedding… quite yet!) It is very refreshing to work with someone who is passionate about their work and the people they work with.

And as if we didn’t love her already, she even incorporated some of our wedding images on her new website as well as in her portfolio. Yeay! :)

I highly, highly recommend having a DOC. There was no way I could have been in ten places at the same time nor did I want my family or bridal party to worry about my oh so many details.

Thank you so much Stacey for your resources, patience, warmth and friendship! We will be forever grateful for surpassing all our expectations. Thank you for helping us envision, create and bring to life, the wedding of our dreams.

We wish you all the best in all your present and future endeavors.

Amen, sister. Even if your budget is $5,000. I soooooooooo recommend this. Hre. a. DOC. Don’t make your family or friends do the nitty gritty, if for no other reason than your own peace of mind.

Is she also the decorator that you hired? I’m thinking about the “mock up table” entries.

Jen- she is the Day of Coordinator we hired. The one I blogged about during my mock table entries was the event coordinator provided by the National Arts Centre who coordinated the contracts, menus etc, but were not present the day of the wedding. So if you are in the Ottawa area- hire STACEY!!! :) We love her…. :)

Mrs Corn- best decision we made!!!
