The Total Number of Comments

Wow you guys guessed high! I guess that’s a compliment. 
The average guess was 295,527 and the median was 256,691.
BIL Bee even made a histogram of all your guesses!
The closest person was nt, who ironically guessed 123,456. There have actually been 125,108 comments to date, which works out to an average of 12.5 comments per post. A couple of things that affected the total number include the hundreds of posts we transferred from archives with no comments when weddingbee first launched, many posts like sales listings that don’t get any comments at all, and of course the number of comments have steadily increased over time (we were a little ol’ blog for quite some time with very few comments). 
Our 2 year anniversary is also coming up next month! Here’s to hundreds of thousands of posts and comments to come! Have a great holiday weekend!
