When I’m not obsessing about our wedding I play the cello in my band (which Mr. Radish is in too), read as much as I can, sleep even more, travel whenever possible, and try to find time to have fun with my friends. I’m also working on finishing up my journalism degree with a concentration in environmental reporting and I’m the VP of my campus Amnesty International chapter… so I’m a pretty busy bee.

Part III: Here Comes The Bride

January 25th, 2008 @ 5:40 pm by Mrs. Radish

Part I: Here Comes the Groom
Part II: My Ladies in Waiting

Here I am, putting the finishing touches on my makeup and I’m almost ready to get dressed. You can see my Uncle Jim next to me in the mirror. He walked me down the aisle and arrived at my hotel suite to take me to the church, since we skipped out on renting a limo to save some money.

After getting my hair and makeup done, it was finally time to put on the most expensive article of clothing I’ve ever worn. How exciting! It’s also the only time that I’ve been dressed by other people, at least as an adult ;)

And we’re off!!

Here I am looking very introspective while waiting in the hotel lobby for the car to pull up.

Edited02

I’ve never had so much help or looked so happy climbing into the backseat of a car before :)

Edited03

It’s very important for the bride to remain hydrated!

Edited04

“Is there anything in my teeth?” Always remember to check for that!

edited05

Putting on my earrings in the car… because there’s nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?

EDITED06

Viola! At the church, all dressed up and ready to go. Now I’m finally a real BRIDE!

You look stunning…your pictures just sparked my memory of how I got into the back of our hired car… I ended up shimmying half way in and then reaching up and out to grab the ‘oh sh*t’ handles and dragging myself in the rest of the way.

Whatever works!!

Thanks ladies :)

eringoblog - I got the veil from my dress shop (Veiled in Elegance in Geneva, IL). I don’t remember who actually made it, but I think it was from France.

Thea T - the dress was designed by Lambert Creations

Your dress is absolutely stunning! I’m getting married this June, and I’m trying to get ideas for decorations at the church, so I’ve been google-ing to search for ideas, and I came across your blog. :]
