About Mrs. Magnolia

Hello, Lover!

January 30th, 2008 @ 6:12 pm by Mrs. Magnolia

So I thought this was kind of cute…

We have some Sex & the City fans on Weddingbee, don’t we? We have to! Who’s excited about the movie coming out this spring? Whee!!!

Okay, topic. Just a little while ago, I received an email from the HBO online store - they’re running a Valentine’s special (free shipping), and they have new items in their “Hello, Lover” shop. Remember that scene, in the episode where Miranda has baby Brady, and Carrie falls for a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutins? I can’t find the actual picture, but…

Just before spotting the shoes…

…and wearing them home from the hospital/Big’s apartment.

ANYWAY, that scene/those shoes inspired the Hello, Lover shop. And how cute would this be for a honeymoon ensemble?

I’m smitten, but what do y’all think? Would you buy something like this for your honeymoon? Would your guys even get the joke?

Oooh, Magnolia, I love it! I say go for it. And Mr. Onion might get the joke as he not only bought me the ENTIRE series on DVD, but he watched every episode with me in the early stages of our courtship :) Talk about love! He even enjoyed it although he could have done without most of the Samantha craziness.

I totally get it! hehe… I’m such a huge fan… my friends and I joke about “Hello Lover” a lot, whenever we see food or something cute to buy. I can’t wait for the movie!

I’m a huge, huge, fan too - I have every season on DVD, and am actually using the Carrie wedding poem (Season 2) on my Save The Dates!

I would love those, but as FH doesn’t really care for the show, he probably wouldn’t get it.

I love that! I actually titled an old post about shoes “hellooo loverrr” Mr SP would definitely get it because he’s watching the whole series with me over and over again! My gfs and I reference it ALL the time! I say go for it! Btw, I was planning on seeing SATC movie when it comes out in NYC. Will you be able to come up? That would be really great!

I love STC and cannot wait for the movie. But I hate calling FI “lover”. It sounds so 70’s to me! I think the nightie is adorable. But I would have to explain what that meant to him.

Oooh someone’s using the Carrie poem for something real!! I’ve always thought about it but wondered if it was too ‘out there.’

My boyfriend would totally get the ‘hello, lover’ because he’s quicker on the satc puns than me nowadays. It’s love.
