Hey there - this site is my daily guilty pleasure =) FI and I have been long distance for 6 years hence the “two cities” part of my SN - we are getting married May 24, 2008 in Northern Va/Wash DC.

We are having a church wedding a hotel reception in southern California where we were both raised. I was never one of those little girls who dreamt about their wedding and at first I didn’t want a small or medium or even large wedding. I just wanted to get married in Hawaii under a waterfall. But fiancee convinced me it would be better as we look back on this to have all our friends a family to share this moment with us. I found weddingbee through google looking for flower hair pins and then I got addicted. I love it, I find inspiration on here everyday, was able to meet another beereader, MissMandy, from here. So welcome other bees, fellow bees, newbees (<— get it..hehe). You’ll love it here.
I just stumbled upon Weddingbee last week and I am totally addicted! This site is entertaining and informative, and I feel so relieved to see that I am not the only wedding planning obssessed bride to be out there!
I was engaged on July 12, 2008 near the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Paul, Minnesota, the great state where I attended college. Both my fiance and I are Michigan natives and we met and first lived together there, before recently relocating to the Seattle area. Boy do we love it here, but are still planning to be married in Saline, Michigan, just outside of Ann Arbor on September 13, 2008. Our ceremony and reception will be in a beautiful garden location, with an outdoor ceremony, dinner inside a historic carriage house, and dancing outside under a fabulous white pavilion.

Hello all bees! I am from the wonderful city of Chicago, well more the suburbs than the city. Our wedding is planned for July 3, 2009, which means tons of time to get ideas and learn DIY projects from all the Miss and Mrs. Bees. I must be honest in saying as a lover of weddings I have been reading weddingbee for a long time, far before my engagement and yet, I still can’t get enough! Hey, this is cool; I want to play. I’m in Washington State not too far from Seattle, and I found this site through Junebug back in August when I was doing some research on black bridesmaids dresses for a friend (her mom says no way, she says yes and so on). Then I started finding other cool things on here, and before you know it, I was hooked. I didn’t comment for a while because I wasn’t sure that I should since it had been a few years since I was a bride, but then I just had to throw my two cents in on a post and now I’m here everyday. I found WeddingBee from Jessica Claire’s blog when she did one of the bee’s weddings! I have been addicted ever since. FI and I got engaged about a month ago and we’re going full speed ahead with the wedding planning… trying to pull this thing off for under $15K in OC is no easy task!
I’m Michelle, and I’m a Weddingbee addict! I got on to the site in late 2006, a few months before we got engaged and have been an avid reader/ sometimes poster ever since.
My high school sweetheart and I are getting married on May 17, 2008, what will be our 12th anniversary (12 years since the day we were talking on the phone and decided that we were ‘together’… ah to be 16 again!) We are both recent PhD graduates in different fields, and California transplants (now in Chicago, the very windy, very cold city) who grew up in Calgary, Canada, and went to college (UBC) in Vancouver.

Ok so we haven’t actually set a date we were more worried about where to have the wedding. Our families don’t live close to each other so it was a huge dilema. We have decided to have a destination wedding (for 1/2 of our guests and us too) in Litchfield County, Connecticut. We are having it on my family’s property under a giant tent for both of our huge families and friends. We figure we will let the caterer have the final choice on the date. We will pick the date from what they have available. This took us 3 months to decide!
I love weddingbee! I read it every day… religiously… multiple times a day. It is the best source for wedding info and inspiration - so many aspects of my wedding have been inspired by the bees. I am originally from California but I am living in New York - have been here for about 4 years. I’m having my wedding in Laguna Beach, CA in 2009. Sometimes I wish I could be a bee… but first of all I know its hard to become one, and also I’m not in a position to reveal personal info due to the nature of my job. FI and I are getting married in Harbor Springs, Michigan. It’s a small resort town on Lake Michigan about 6 hrs from Chicago, where we currently live. I’ve spent my summers up there my whole life and his family vacationed there too (though that’s not how we met!). We’re doing a very resorty, preppy, summery wedding and things are coming along (with a few stumbling blocks thrown in!) I’m not sure how I stumbled across weddingbee, but I do think it’s a great inspiration source for me! This, the local boards on the knot, and the preppy wedding blog are my daily reads.

I stumbled across Weddingbee last week and have read it religiously everyday…instead of doing homework for school :-/ My FH and I have been together for nearly 8 years, and we’ll finally get married on August 9, 2008 on Seneca Lake in Upstate New York. We’re getting married 10 days after I take the bar exam, so I have to have all of my planning done by May in order to hand everything else over to dependable family and friends! I am a graphic designer and own Pear and Peony with my friend Kirsten, and the Mr will be an attorney come August after he passes(he better pass!) the bar. I’m an accountant from LA and my wedding is in May 2008. My wedding day will be pretty crazy as there will be 2 tea ceremonies, 1 american style garden ceremony and a chinese banquet at night. Then it’s off to Hong Kong for yet another chinese banquet!
