Shopping for bridesmaids’ dress =

My BMs and I had shot around a few different ideas from pictures I gather online, but really I had no set dress. My biggest concerns:
The list of questions boggled me blarghiness. The only things we went in with were a long dress and every gal wearing the same one. Other than that, I wanted to keep an open mind to everything that fit in that category and what was available at the store to see which worked best and most comfortably for all the chicas.
The day we happened to find bridesmaids dressed was completely unplanned for. My awesomeness girls had only planned to join me for lunch and go with me to check out my “then-potential” wedding gown (now wedding gown.) Turns out the salon also carried a dress that all the girls had agreed would be most flattering (tummy hiding bodice - so they can gorge on tons of cake - one requested a whole layer to herself), and straps!
Here be the cute dress by Bill Levkoff 806:

Gorgeous no?!?!?! Yeah it didn’t work out. We’re all pretty petite (not so tall chicas) so the tea length didn’t quite fit right and overall, the taffeta material not as flattering as we thought.
Lucky for us when we went to the salon, it was early and no one was there yet, so we took over the 4 dressing rooms they had. It was the best hour ever!!! We scoured the racks, everyone grabbed dresses that they thought might work and the girls took turns in each of their dressing rooms trying on dresses. The four of them would come out at the same, each with different dresses on, I’d snap a picture of them together, they’d scurry back in and I’d run back to grabbing dresses from different rooms to transfer between the girls. They worked super fast and we were done and made a decision in an HOUR!!!!!
Here’s another dress that I liked but we decided against Bill Levkoff 451:

I thought the criss cross strap was super cute and different.
But then ….. we came across one that all the girls completely agreed on. I couldn’t have been more thrilled. It was everything we were looking for and more! It’s totally curvacious and flattering on every single one of my gals, it gives them the romantic PAWOW. * sniff * * sniff * They looked gorgeous and will be again on the day of.

Lucky for me, I was able to customize the colors for the body and the strap to the exact colors I wanted from their available color palette. Here’s our mock:

Like Miss Penguin, I ordered my gals’ dresses from House of Brides because I knew from personal experience for my gfs’ wedding, they delivered and fast! I placed my order mid November. I had called in December to check on the status, and they gave me an expected delivery of Mid February. I recieved a notice via email from them mid-January about delivery and WAH BAM! a few days later, USPS delivered it to moi!
When I first recieved the package, I almost freaked out bc the tape said Bari Jay, I was like NO NO NO NO! My minor-ba-bump-beat-fast-of-a-heart slowed down when I ripped that sucka apart and saw my gorgeous BM dresses. I’ve been receiving a crap load of boxes at work too and I’m too anxious to leave them at work, so unless I can or have shopping bags available, I’ve been lugging them boxes on the bus with me. Talk about work out.
Here they are in all their gorgeous glory:

And because I love this Obi like knot, I just had to incorporate it into our dresses, and voila, presto, extra sexiness.

*no she’s not burnt toasty, she’s wearing her whole out outfit, jeans, tank, shirt underneath all that beautifulness. LOL*
HI FIVE, WapSHHH, shlap Happay to the power of 100, no?
