Okay, yes, I know that gifts are not entrance tickets to our wedding party & celebration, but I would be a BIG FAT LIAR if I said that I didn’t love the sound of the UPS man walking up my stairs and knocking on my door, a sound which these days so close to the big day, happens kinda often (the man took a while to catch on: only yesterday he finally said: “um, is there a wedding going on or something?”). And the new pretty things in my home transported from my bridal shower (can we have a little permission to love our gifts, too?) made the two full weeks it took me to navigate thank you note etiquette easier. And is it weird that even though I put all the items on my gift registries myself, I play favorites?
I mean, I know both my sister’s heart and mine will be gladdened when the Petunias use these for their toast:
And Mr. Petunia already has concocted fantasies of me preparing delicious dishes in the kitchen wearing nothing but this apron (Wait: too much information? [Wipes Brow] I’m glad I didn’t write that in the thank you card I wrote to my old friend in Minnesota) — well, not in the “Chuck” version pictured below, but in the Mrs. Petunia one:

One of the two Kate Spade “Sweet Pea” vases my MOH and her mother gave us: darn C-U-T-E!
The 5 piece hostess set from my boss, poor man, who when I went to thank him in person said, “well, it’s a good thing I paid to have that gift wrapped, since I didn’t mean for it to be shipped to you directly.” A pretty generous gift from a boss, if I may say so:
And my Bialetti Cupcake Carrier, because if my cupcakes have to go places, they should do so in style, right?
Okay, your turn! What’s on your top 5 list of gifts thus far received? (Of course, love & support from friends & family is already assumed!).
Those are my toasting flutes too! My twin is letting me borrow them after she used them at her wedding too! Love them!!
