Introducing Miss Sundae!

February 5th, 2008 @ 4:26 pm by Mrs. Bee

Please welcome the latest dessert to the hive, Miss Sundae!

Miss Sundae, Chicago/Lake Geneva, WI
Age & Occupation:
28, Knowledge Manager
Fiance’s Age & Occupation: 29, Investment Advisor
Engagement Date: July 20, 2007
Wedding Date: September 2008
Venue: The Abbey Resort
About Me: It’s hard to believe that by the time Mr. Sundae and I get married we will have been together for almost ten years. When we first met in college we split dollar pitchers and now we share the mortgage payments.  Despite our love for the city we are looking forward to tying the knot in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Alright, another Chicago-area bee! Welcome Miss Sundae! I’m clueless about the Lake Geneva area so I look forward to learning more about it. :) I’m intrigued by your job title - what does a knowledge manager do?

Welcome and what a yummy icon!

I must admit that I had to Google to find out exactly what a “Knowledge Manager” was– having always worked for either myself or smallish companies where ignorance was allowed to run rampant. ;)

Here’s an explanation of a KM, for any other ignoramuses out there:

I love your icon, too! So cute…and it’s making me want ice cream really bad.

Thanks for the warm welcome! That is a pretty accurate description of a KM, beanchar. It is kind of a “cushy” corporate title…I was expecting some comments about it!

omg your icon. It’s now a two-way tie for my favorite between that and Miss Milkshake’s. Welcome, Midwestern Bee!

Welcome Miss Sundae, look forward to reading your post. My Fiance and I will have been together 13 years by the time we get married. On a different topic, really interested in Knowledge Management. I have been an IT administrator for years and would like to switch to PM or KM. How did you get started?

I go to the Abbye every summer. It feels like my real life Dirty Dancing resort. The lake is beautiful.

Thanks again everyone! Luxe - I started as an analyst doing reactive research, actually found that job on Monster. Lisa - The Abbey does remind me of Dirty Dancing! I have to say that I like it a lot more after the renovations, though.

Love your blog! Your posts on weddingbee.com are sure to be spectacular! Though I live in Denver now, I grew up in Chicago, so I also have fond memories of summers in Lake Geneva and many stays at The Abbey! What a wonderful and nostalgic choice for a summer wedding in Chicago.

Yea Chicago!

Welcome to the hive; I am relatively new myself and just learning about the great network of women here!

I wanted to tell you that you will not be disappointed with The Abbey as your venue. I used to assist a wedding planner part-time and have done two weddings there. They were both beautiful!
