Caramels And Roses? Oh My!

February 6th, 2008 @ 2:01 pm by Miss Peacock

Last October, Mr. Peacock and I took a trip to San Francisco and had an amazing time. Highlights of the trip included a tour of Sonoma, meeting Mrs. Gummi Bear in Berkeley and a trip to the Hayes Valley neighborhood. I LOVED, loved, loved Hayes Valley. I would move there if Chicago wasn’t my favorite.

Anyway, two of the bestest places in Hayes Valley- Rose and Radish and Miette- are joining their creatively perfect forces for the ultimate valentines gift. Call Rose and Radish for more details, but it sounds like you can get some of Miettes unreal homemade caramels (have I ever mentioned that I am a sucker for homemade caramel?) and a very unique bouquet from R&R. Yes, it’s for San Fran people only, but if anyone does order or receive one, can you take pictures and send them to me?

Hey, cool, I live in Hayes Valley!! Isn’t it cute? Miette is one of the reasons I moved there! I saw it and was like, ok I love it here. The wallpaper and gum drops posts are to die for, and I LOVE their salted caramels.

FYI, if you’re ever in SF again, Bi-Rite in the Mission makes salted caramel ice cream. I’m dying to try it!

The salted caramel ice cream is FABULOUS! I love Bi-Rite Creamery because they use a lot of seasonal/local products. Definitely a San Francisco gem.
