Can you believe it’s been two years since Weddingbee launched?!

Last year we celebrated with a one year birthday party at the Gallery Bar in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

But this year, I’m not feeling up for the crowded bar scene. So I was thinking, maybe we could have a picnic in Central Park when it warms up a bit - say April? We could make it a potluck picnic, and I could bust out my potato salad (one of my top 5 favorite foods!).

I hope you all can join me for a weddingbee birthday picnic sometime in April! I’d love to thank you all in person for helping make Weddingbee into the best and most supportive wedding community out there!

Novel idea - I will try and make it. Maybe we can have multiple picnics across all WeddingBee cities going on simultaneously.

And if we are really ambitious we could webcast them?

Happy Birthday Weddingbee. Since my Mom says you should wish the mother a happy birthday on the day she gave birth, Happy Birthday to you, too, Mrs. Bee!

Picnics are great, although someone will have to protect me from pigeons (since I’m scared of them).

P.S. Should we publicize this event to journalists to get press for the site or should we keep the event just to the members of the beehive?

Btw, Conservatory Garden in Central Park is most beautiful in April when the flowers came out of their winter cocoons and basked in the warm sun.

I’m proud to say that I have been stalking the hive for atleast a year and half of the 2 years Weddingbee has been up and running. I found a Weddingbee referenced email from August 2006, so that’s my proof.

I barely knew what a blog was before that.

I don’t want to get too emotional when I say that Mrs. Bee has touched me and so many people with this little homemade blog that has become so big. Its been great to watch something grow so organically.
