Today we have a copy of Offbeat Bride: Taffeta-Free Alternatives for Independent Brides, donated by Miss Hummingbird, to give away. If a traditional wedding just isn’t your thing, this popular book is a must read.
To enter, comment below by 1:00pm EST tomorrow. Good luck!

I am planning a relatively non-traditional wedding… this book looks helpful.
This would be great! Everything about our planning thus far has been pretty non-traditional ![]()
Ironically, my friend was just explaining to me how non-traditional I was in my wedding desires … would love the book to tell me what she means!
I love her blog, and I would love to get my hands on her book. Heck, even if I don’t win it, I’m buying it!
I really would love to plan something different - this would be a great help!
my sister would adore this book - she wants to wear a tye-dye dress when she gets married!
I also read the offbeat bride’s blog– I love the post on offbeat father-daughter dance songs
i almost bought that book the other day, but i never did.. ![]()
I have this book on my wish list and would love to get it!
This would be a great book for me and FH! On Monday we cancelled our traditional wedding and are now getting married in Mexico! We don’t know what we’re doing really so this would be great to get some ideas.
I love this book! I have it but I’m entering anyway because I’d LOVE another copy to give to a friend that’s getting married next year!
this would be a great book to have handy! *crosses fingers*
I hope I get this, Im trying to add untraditional flair to my traditional wedding without scaring the pants off my family
i think i need this book to help me out with my nontraditional wedding ![]()
I went to chapters to get this book the other day and couldn’t find it. Miss Hummingbird and I live in the same city, so if I won it there would be no need for shipping. ![]()
I thought I was a taffeta-free bride, but somehow the taffeta snuck up and ambushed me. I am still aspiring to be non-traditional in other ways… although maybe there are escort cards and such out there waiting in ambush.
Thanks, Miss Hummingbird! I’d love to receive this book. Then when I’m done with it, I’ll re-purpose it on a Bee Giveaway, too!
Oh, this book would be such a huge help for me right now! With the wedding in July I’m at the stage where I have time to plan some really fantastic alternative things, but need inspiration.
I’ve got my girls wearing whatever they want, and I’m anti-cake … I’d love to get a few more inspirations before I get the big plans done! Please pick me — thanks, Miss H!
Ooo, I’ve been trying to do a blend of traditional and unique, this would really help out.
Hello, I am delurking to say I would love that book! Been reading for a few weeks, absolutely love Weddingbee!
I’m getting married on 8th November… very excited ![]()
I’m anti-white dress, anti-tux, anti-bridal party and totally nontraditional - this book would perfect for my Oct. 11 08 wedding! Pick me, please!
I’m so not your “typical” bride - this book would be a great resource for me and the feyonce!!
Hey, I’d love the book. Since my mom passed away Jan 10. everything about our wedding has changed. Instead of the traditional here comes the bride song we are having the intrumentals to “old time rock and roll” pus i am having my two little cousins (5 and 7 yrs old) walk me down the isle. So I think this book is right up my isle!
I’ve just started reading the blog associated with the book. I’d love to read it!
Oh! I want the book! I’m a fan of the Offbeat Bride blog (if you’re not, check it out, http://offbeatbride.com/), and would love to read the book!
I know a soon-to-be bride that would be the PERFECT recipient of this book. ![]()
Loved your chat the other night hummingbird. The book looks like a cool read.
I’d LOVE to get this! I’m suffocating under a mountain of traditional wedding crinoline, roses, and tiaras and I need a pathway out!
Heh, oh the comments. I really don’t need a copy, I have a while before planning my own wedding. I just wanted to say I love her blog and anyone who doesn’t know about it should check it out. http://offbeatbride.com/
I love Offbeat Bride’s website! This book would be wonderful to have!
Oh someone beat me to it, thats what you get for leaving a comment sitting there…
I’ve been thinking of picking this up! Maybe I’ll wait another day or so…
oooh pick me! i need a new book on wedding planning ![]()
I love reading the Offbeat Bride website! (almost as much as Weddingbee… ssh)
This looks awesome! I’m all about the non-traditional weddings.
Even though my wedding dress is made of taffeta - I am totally an offbeat/independent bride to be. This would be great.
i have already learned from this book’s title that taffeta and independence are mutually exclusive. imagine how much more i could learn by reading the entire copy!
I check her site religiously for inspiration- I’d love a copy of the actual book!
I had to put a moratorium on buying more wedding books/magazines- I’d love to have a new thing to read!
Oh please please please please please please please PLEASE!!! Let me be the one picked! I’ve had this book in my paperbackswap wish list for months now! But no one seems to want to give it up.
I’m feelin lucky today!
Oh please please please let me be picked. The book is near impossible to buy here because the publisher doesnt have any deals with sellers here. Please dont let me be robbed blind by some online book seller who will ask for my firstborn in exchange for the shipping.
I love Ariel’s site! Even if one isn’t going for complete “non-traditional” it’s a great reality check, plus it gives out tons of creative ideas.
This would be great! Thanks for donating it, Miss Hummingbird!
I have never been know to be like everyone else, I love to be different, I think this book will enable me to expand my creativity and throw a wedding not one person will ever forget!
