Wedding Year Valentines

February 8th, 2008 @ 12:02 pm by Mrs. Petunia

I wish I could have participated in the Weddingbee Valentine Swap, but with so little time left before the wedding, there’s no way I could have cranked anything out, and let’s face it, I’m not crafty enough to make anything as beautiful as what any of our readers or other bees can do, so I figured I’d just concentrate on finding the perfect Valentine for Mr. Petunia. This darling Hello! Lucky card I ordered from Luxe Paperie will hopefully be here next week:

Just in time for me to stick this super dorky gift inside — a World of Warcraft loot card purchased off Ebay so that Mr. P’s toon can prance around Azeroth with a new gorilla pet:

Of course, if you think you’ve run out of time to order a letterpress card online or make one yourself, remember that the local places are full of Valentine cards, and as corny as it sounds, it is the thought that counts! I’m still planning on also giving Mr. Petunia the one I bought at Target before finding the pirate one — if its sentiment is not perfect right before our wedding, I don’t know what is…

Arrrrrr– and you’re Mr. P’s treasure (but hopefully not his sunken one!)

Cute cards!

Aww, that Target card is so sweet, and totally perfect for a just-about-to-be-married couple! Love the pirate monkey card too. Thanks for reminding me that I really should pick up a card to go along with the gift I ordered for my sweetie, hehe. There’s a great little paper/card shop in our neighborhood that has awesome letterpress stuff much like the pirate monkey card - looks like I’ll be stopping by this weekend. It’s just lame to search out that same card at Target because I think the sentiment is so spot-on, right? :)
