Valentine’s Day Swap 2008

February 13th, 2008 @ 2:09 pm by Mrs. Bee

Our first ever DIY Valentine Card Swap was a big success!  You guys sent in pictures of crafty, creative, cute, and sweet cards galore, and we’re dedicating several posts to showcase all your wonderful designs over the next couple of days.

Here’s the first batch!  We had so much fun with this… perhaps we’ll make it a yearly tradition. :)

I am just in total AWE of everyone!

On the one hand, I’m so sad that I didn’t participate, and on the other hand, I’m glad I didn’t because I totally would have embarassed myself with my 1st grade arts & crafts skills. I mean, look at the amazing work our bees and readers are capable of!

The card exchange was so much fun! Of course I learned the lesson of figuring out your envelope size when designing your card size…

iheartq - I just tweeked the tail on the birds from this image (http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup.php?id=1596930) and used a heart from an illustration I created back in college. Let me know if you need any help!
