You Sit Here, And You Sit Here…

February 13th, 2008 @ 5:36 pm by Mrs. Cream Puff

Ah, my placecards. I am soooo happy with my placecards.

Each one of our tables has a theme relating to a favorite memory we share together. We haven’t solidified the actual table names yet, but I have the drawings done for 13 tables (we will probably need a few more). Because I like to do projects that I know I can complete (it bolsters my self-esteem, what can I say?), I decided to make a couple of samples, just to see how they look. The little images on each placecard are cropped versions of the images that will be on the table numbers (I still haven’t figured out a design for said table numbers, but hey–one step at a time).

The placecards are (as you can clearly see) not a typical size. Hopefully people will see them as keepsakes and take them home! I originally thought this design would require a LOT of cutting…. but then one of my genius co-workers suggested using a #10 flat card and folding it in half. VOILA! My placecards.

I wish I knew how many people were coming so I could actually complete this project, but I’m satisfied for now. :)

I didn’t realize you were using those as your place cards. I thought they were table cards. I like the look of that other Knotties place card table. Yours will look amazing!

i absolutely LOVE your placecards!!!! i just love cute illustrations and i think your idea adds a unique and cute twist on boring old placecards! even though i love cute illustrations and love to buy them on etsy and wherever else i find them, i’m not a professional illustrator and i haven’t the slightest idea how to make my own drawing into a cute illustration. is there a diy way for me to do this?
