Some of you guys requested pictures of my children. I realize that this is completely wedding-unrelated, so following the gratuitous cute pix, I will describe how we’re going to include our babies in our wedding.
Doctor Miles, my lazy-eyed first-born:

Peete Tails, Yorkey’s first-born (she’s lost weight since this picture–she used to be a whopping 20 pounds!):

Gwynnie, our sophisti-cat (she feels very beautiful in her pink crystal collar):

Elvis Purrsley, our first co-cat (he’s a baby in this picture–it was taken back in June):

Lulabelle, all loaded up in the Prius for a roadtrip:

Lulu, playing “mama dog” to Elvis Purrsley:

And now, for how we’re including our beloved kids in our wedding (because it wouldn’t be complete without them!):
We’re seriously considering having Lulabelle be our flower girl. This may be a bit of a challenge, because we’ll have to figure out what to do with her after the ceremony. We’d like to have her boarded no matter what, just so we don’t have to worry about her being alone all night (plus, a dog’s gotta eat, right?!). I’m thinking that we’ll probably see if we can pay a bit extra to have someone from the pet care place come to the actual ceremony site to whisk her away in a doggie limo after she’s done with her wedding duties.
Now for the kitties, who obviously can’t be present for the actual event. We’ve decided to do some signature cocktails at our wedding in addition to wine and beer. We plan to name the drinks after our pets. So far, we’ve decided to name the beer (Fat Tire) after Peetie (it will, of course, be called “Fat Peete”). “The Gwynnie” will be something very sophisticated, “Doc Miles” will be something cool and laid-back, and “the Elvis Purrsley” will probably be non-alcoholic. If we come up with something a little crazy, we’ll name it “the Lulabelle,” because Lulu is always bouncing off of walls.
So yes, there are our children (our pride and joy!) and the roles they’ll be playing in our wedding. I’ll post pictures of the bar menu when I finish it. ![]()
