My Children!

February 14th, 2008 @ 11:09 am by Mrs. Cream Puff

Some of you guys requested pictures of my children. I realize that this is completely wedding-unrelated, so following the gratuitous cute pix, I will describe how we’re going to include our babies in our wedding.

Doctor Miles, my lazy-eyed first-born:

Peete Tails, Yorkey’s first-born (she’s lost weight since this picture–she used to be a whopping 20 pounds!):
Photobucket

Gwynnie, our sophisti-cat (she feels very beautiful in her pink crystal collar):
Photobucket

Elvis Purrsley, our first co-cat (he’s a baby in this picture–it was taken back in June):
Photobucket

Lulabelle, all loaded up in the Prius for a roadtrip:

Lulu, playing “mama dog” to Elvis Purrsley:

And now, for how we’re including our beloved kids in our wedding (because it wouldn’t be complete without them!):

We’re seriously considering having Lulabelle be our flower girl. This may be a bit of a challenge, because we’ll have to figure out what to do with her after the ceremony. We’d like to have her boarded no matter what, just so we don’t have to worry about her being alone all night (plus, a dog’s gotta eat, right?!). I’m thinking that we’ll probably see if we can pay a bit extra to have someone from the pet care place come to the actual ceremony site to whisk her away in a doggie limo after she’s done with her wedding duties.

Now for the kitties, who obviously can’t be present for the actual event. We’ve decided to do some signature cocktails at our wedding in addition to wine and beer. We plan to name the drinks after our pets. So far, we’ve decided to name the beer (Fat Tire) after Peetie (it will, of course, be called “Fat Peete”). “The Gwynnie” will be something very sophisticated, “Doc Miles” will be something cool and laid-back, and “the Elvis Purrsley” will probably be non-alcoholic. If we come up with something a little crazy, we’ll name it “the Lulabelle,” because Lulu is always bouncing off of walls. :)

So yes, there are our children (our pride and joy!) and the roles they’ll be playing in our wedding. I’ll post pictures of the bar menu when I finish it. :)

Your children are beautiful!! We have two as well and were trying to figure out how to incorporate them into our ceremony. I just love the drinks idea - very original!! We wanted our babies to be the “ring dogs” in our ceremony, however, it’s out of town and we’re getting married on the beach and we know they will both take a bee line towards the water so it’s a no go on that. :) There’s no stopping a water dog with the ocean waves as the temptress!

That’s great! The Gynnie should be like a pink martini to match her collar.

Very cute! I’m at a loss as to what I should do with my dog. I’ll have to draw up an entirely different schedule just for her, and I know I’ll miss her so much :(

Awww… We have a cat (who is the prettiest kitty in the world- according to the song my fiance sings every night when we get home) who is all black. My photographer is fantastic and is going to come to our house and take some pictures of me in my white gown with Marcos (our kitty) sitting on my train. I just hope he cooperates!

ONE LOVE PHOTO

You have your hands FULL! But they are all so cute. I love pets in wedding, it always makes for great photos. The wedding have featured on my blog today had their dog as the star of the wedding. Everything went smooth until he jumped in the pond and then did his shake thing right next to Margot (the bride)! At that moment I wish I had a video camera. Later on he curled up with her bouquet, so cute.

I want to get a cat just so I can name him Elvis Purrsley - that is the best cat name EVER… I may be biased since I am making the (soon to be) hubby stop at Graceland on the way to our honeymoon - but really - BEST. CAT. NAME. EVER

They are all so adorable! And Lulabelle is such a great name! (I’m guessing from Breakfast at Tiffany’s?.. I love that movie.)

I love fat cats. They are the best to snuggle with. I developed a huge love for cats years before I developed horrible allergies. It really sucks actually. I would totally have lots of furbabies like you if I could.

Elvis is the cutest thing ever!!! If it were possible, I’d totally schedule a playdate with mine — Malibu and Sofie ;)

We had our dog with us the whole wedding! He stayed in our photographers car during the ceremony though, since he wasn’t allowed in the church. We have som really nice portrait pictures of us and him together, and that means a lot to me… He is such a big part of our lives that it would have been weird if he wasn’t there on our wedding day!
