Memory Books

February 20th, 2008 @ 9:27 am by Mrs. Hydrangea

The second part of my gift for the BMs was a photobook. I looked at many different sites to see which one gave me the best options, but then I stumbled across the Martha Stewart Collection at Kodak. Their adorable covers were too hard to resist, and I knew that I didn’t want a huge book, just a small photobook that the girls could keep. Here is what I chose:Memory Books : wedding bridesmaid gift Dsc015301Memory Books : wedding bridesmaid gift Dsc015302Memory Books : wedding bridesmaid gift Dsc015303Memory Books : wedding bridesmaid gift Dsc015304
I wasn’t thrilled that I had to download a program in order to upload photos for my book. Since this was my first time creating a photobook, I’m not sure if this is the norm. Also, Kodak lost my first shipment and had to resend the books to me. It makes me nervous to know that there is a possibility that someone out there could have these first drafts (and my BM’s names are on the covers).

Overall, the girls loved the books, but I will most likely not be visiting Kodak again to create books.

And here is what everything put together looked like when the girls opened their boxes:

You’re right, those photobook covers are adorable! And yes, I believe its not unusual to have to download a program, at least I know I had to do that with Mypublisher and I think also for Blurb (can’t remember exactly). What is UNDER the photobook and card? Very cute presentation!

Very cute! I have yet to figure out what I’m doing for my bridesmaids - this was great inspiration!

Also - I love the DG pic! :)

Mariel - I found the boxes at Old Navy during Christmas.

Mrs. Emerald - There’s actually only tissue paper below the items. I originally intended on filling the boxes w/ items that might be handy on the wedding day, but I ran out of time and ended up leaving them empty :(

One of my best friends is going to have a photobook made for us then leave lots of blank pages to we can use it as a guest book - very excited!

Speaking from the picture you posted, you must be Delta Gamma…

I’m sad to hear you had Kodak Gallery problems, because that’s my #1 photo printing site (out of the 5? 6? I’ve tried in the past few years). The one consolation I can offer is that they have monster sales 4-6 times a year.
