We couldn’t have asked for better weather on our wedding day. It was late August, which is usually incredibly muggy, hot and gross, but the wedding-weather gods granted us reprieve from the dog days of summer! It was a gorgeous 72 degrees and sunny. Since it was so nice out, we decided to have our receiving line outside in front of the church.

Our photographer, Tim Forbes, got some awesome shots of the post-nuptial action. I am so happy with his work! He really captured the emotions and excitement of the day and got so many unexpected shots.

Here comes the gang.

Giving my grandma a big hug. She is so sweet.

Mr. Radish’s nieces - such beautiful girls!
Profess045

My Great Aunt Virginia. She is such a sassy old dame.
Profess046

I wonder what they were looking up at? Notice that my DIY ring pillow is still holding together quite nicely.
Profess047

One of my beautiful sisters. She is a wonderful singer and sang “Ave Maria” for us during the prelude. It was downright touching, I must say.
Profess048

Stink face. Note all the band-aids she’s wearing. She’s one of those kids that just likes to wear them for no reason and her mom couldn’t convince her otherwise. She’s a real firecracker!
Profess049

Profess050

Yet another adorable picture of the flowergirls.
Profess051

Giving a thumbs up. What for? I have no idea.
Profess052

Our friend’s wife and daughter. Aren’t they cute? I love her polka dot dress.
Profess053

Mr. Radish’s aunt and uncle. They look so happy! I love that our friend is also laughing in the background. There’s nothing better than seeing that everyone had a great time at your wedding.
Profess054

Hugs!!!
Profess055

I like this picture of my sister a lot. She has a very sly look on her face. Profess056

Showing my bracelet off to my Great Aunt Jo. My mom was a flower girl in her wedding over 40 years ago, and she gave my mom a pearl necklace as her thank you gift that she wore with her flower girl ensemble. I doubled it around my wrist and wore it as a bracelet for my “something borrowed.” Aunt Jo got a real kick out of that and she was really touched that my mom had kept the necklace after all these years.
Profess057

Looks like the ring bearers were messing with each other!
Profess058

Profess059

More hugs!!
Profess060

These two are the cutest couple! They’re engaged to be married next summer. I can’t wait for their wedding. Profess061

The wind was picking up my skirt a bit here! It was very breezy.
Profess062

My maids hanging out.
Profess063

Mr. Radish’s aunt. She was married at the same church back in the 50’s.
Profess064

I never even noticed this while it was happening, but look at this naughty boy — caught on camera sliding down the church railing! I’m glad he didn’t get hurt. Those steps were made of some very hard stone. It made for a great picture, though.
Profess065

Mr. and Mrs. Radish!

Yeah, your photog rocks. I love how he got all those great angles, but still managed to be unobtrusive.
