Our Registry Hath Been Deflowered

February 21st, 2008 @ 1:25 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

There needs to be some sort of end-zone dance for brides. Something we can bust into when, say, the first item on our registry has been purchased.

So cool! So exciting! So let’s dance, shall we? I’m picturing a cross between the hustle and the Rockafella Skank. One grand nation of blissful brides, boogying around our kitchens.

In a related story, I’m clearly becoming a spoiled bee-bride, what with all the material stuff and presents a-flowing around me lately. Will try to shape up and become more thoughtful and introspective bee-bride again.

Now, back to dancing.

How exciting! I am interested in this, what kind of registry is this where givers can pledge money, I want one!

Ditto to the previous comment…. I just so happen to be going to Ireland for MY honeymoon in October, too, and have heard of brides establishing funds where people can donate for the honeymoon, but I have no clue how or where. Please advise! :) And thanks.

I have been worried about going to look at mine after a certain time line…I keep thinking that if I convince myself that I’m adding something to the registry….then if I happen to see that stuff is gone - it will be ok.

I think I’m stuck on this 7-year old notion that it’s Christmas and Santa won’t come if I peek.

I’m over that now and fully intend to break out the bride boogy with ya soon!

Emily - Honeyfund! Guests can make donations directly by credit card, if they choose. Or they can print up a voucher of their chosen registry item and send it to you.

sarah: awesomeness! Definitely check out Honeyfund, though I know there are more than a few other options out there.

I hear ya about the dance! My first registry gift was purchased a couple days ago and I was so happy! It really is exciting to think this shower is going to be held just for me (and FI I guess lol!) - I can’t wait! :)
