I Feel Like Goldilocks

February 26th, 2008 @ 2:56 pm by Mrs. Hummingbird

Because I finally found one that’s just right!

I know there has been a heckuva a lot of boob chat on Weddingbee, but with dress concerns, it kind of goes with the territory.

As I’ve mentioned before, finding an undergarment to go under my dress has been a little bit tricky because of its cut. I originally thought I was going to go the stick-on/pasty route, but since we’re having our ceremony and spending much of our day outdoors and since during the summer, I am a victim of what I like to call “the boob sweats,” I didn’t want to rely on any sort of sticky adhesion in the heat.

So, taking the stick-on support off my list but still needing something that would work with the deep cut of things, I started to investigate specialty bras and I think I have found one!

My solution - the UBra by Arianne! Not only is it from a Canadian company (hooray Canucks!) but it has enough support and is cut deeply enough that it should work with what I need. Plus, after the wedding, I can continue to wear it with the standard Bee broadcaster uniform - the slutty v neck!

Anyway, I figured since the undergarment hunt can be tricky, I would open up and share my lucky lingerie secret, but since I am still looking for other things (as I am sure many of our readers are), I want to know - what great lingerie discovery have you made so far? A great pair of stockings? A knockout support garment? Share your secret with the hive so we can all look like knockouts! smiley3

Has anyone else seen Dr. Rey Shapeware being advertised on HSN over the weekend? Not only do they also have the deep plunge bra but it also has built in control to prevent the dreaded muffin top.

The Ubra is great - great support, great coverage where it counts, really comfortable, and the girls look marvelous! I have one in every color already.

The bra that you have pictured here, I picked up at a Gordman’s store for under $10. It works GREAT! I love it especially for those low-cut shirts. Hope you can find it for a good price.

Flobster: what’s the back on that Shapewear look like? I can’t tell from the website. I need something that’s low in the front AND the back (oooh risque) but don’t want to wear pasties. HELP! :)

The Dr. Rey Shapewear is also available at Sears - that’s what I picked up for the wedding. Low in the back as well is going to be difficult though BA - I’d suggest the UBra with one of those long straps that wrap around the belly to lower the back.

Oh hi… this totally has nothing to do with your post, but what is that Weddingbee Wiki thing you posted?! Intrigued! New feature on the WB?

I used almost the exact shape bra for my halter wedding dress (the straps can detach and move about) and it worked like a charm!

oooh, fancy. I don’t need this baby for the nuptials, but I can definitely think of a few going-out tops it might come in handy for. even if the model/image is scary and wax-looking.
