Gifts For My Girls

February 27th, 2008 @ 4:34 pm by Mrs. Gardenia

I wish I would’ve taken better pictures of my bridesmaids’ gifts, but it got busier and crazier the closer it got to our wedding, so I never had a chance to take a picture of all the bridal party’s gifts. Here’s what I did come up with:

- 1 large tote to hold of all the gifts (a friend of mine bought the totes while she was in Hawaii just recently)
- 1 black wristlet from New York & Company
- 1 pack of Target note cards with their respective initials
- 1 gift card (I gave my 2 married bridesmaids a Melting Pot (a fondue restaurant) gift card for them to have a date night with their hubby while the non-married bridemaids got a Visa gift card.)
- 1 pair of pearl earrings (to wear on the wedding day)
- 1 pashmina shawl (to use on the wedding day)
- 1 bottle of our favorite wine, Stella Rose (red) or Moscato Asti (white) from San Antonio Winery in Ontario , Ca. We  discovered this wine late last year from a gathering we attended and just loved it.

Along with everything that was listed above, we also bought the shoes for our bridesmaids as a thank you gift to them.

Most of them didn’t expect to receive their gifts during our rehearsal dinner, so it got them really excited to use the stuff for the wedding. I ordered some personalized satin ribbon and used that to tie all of the gifts together.

Here are 2 of my bridesmaids anxiously opening (& reading) their gifts:

Personalizing each gift was really hard since they are all so different (yet alike) from one another.  I found that getting something I knew everyone would enjoy was the key component while shopping for these things. I didn’t want to give them something just for the sake of getting them something.  Luckily all of our bridesmaids loved their gifts and the presentation too! :)

One of my best friends just got married and she gave us bags like those. Her sister lives in Hawaii. She filled them with similar things, too. We each got beautiful pearl necklaces to wear the next day and satin flip-flops that matched our dresses to put on when our feet started hurting from too much dancing! Smiles!

Hi girls!

I know how hard it is to find the right Bridesmaid gifts that have some true meaning connecting you with your BFF that lets them know you care; you love them and appreciate them standing up for you at your most important day of your life - your wedding! You want something that won’t break your bank (since the wedding itself is doing that already), but that bonds you to your girlfriends, that is non-perishable so that your friends will have them forever, reminding them of not only your special day, but of you and your special friendship! I found THE perfect gift for Bridesmaids! Actually, this is also a great gift from you to your fiance’ and even for him to give his groomsmen. It’s called “the friendship stone”. It apparently is also a give back gift giving money back from sales to the community in S.Africa where this beautiful Tiger’s Eye stone comes from. There are several messages connected with this stone and I was amazed to read some of the stories about how it has moved and touched people’s lives! Check out the site and let me know what you think. http://www.thefriendshipstone.com
