Aubergine Applied

After the decision had been made on the bridesmaids dresses, I couldn’t wait to get home and play with my colors- aubergine, gold, ivory and green. Here is what I came up with.

Clockwise from the top and then around the inside: Livia Cetti bouquet, K-Amato necklace, tablescape from Oh, How Charming!, MS cake, Jennifer Behr hairpiece, drinks from InStyle Weddings, Oh, How Charming!, candles from MS, invite from Ceci NY, centerpiece via Brown Turtleneck Sweater, Vera Wang gown via Brooklyn Bride, Simple Silhouettes dress, K-Amato earrings

I took a few items from my last board and tried to keep that same feel. The green will really just be leaves and ferns, but I would like a lot of it showing as the arrangements will be loose and flowy. Some of the items are things that I have actually selected/purchased, which makes this even more exciting. I am so glad that things are coming together- and it only took 13 months.

Peacock, this board is gorgeous! It’s a perfect color scheme for a September wedding - and it still invokes the same look that you were going for before! Well done!

Miss Peacock, I absolutely LOVE the aubergine. I’m going to have some touches of purples in my flowers, and I think aubergine might be the perfect shade. Gorgeous!

Those colors are so similar to mine - eggplant, sage, copper, and cream. It always sounds like I am describing a vegitarian dish.

Well done on the board. My wedding is in Septmember as well, great minds think alike.

I made mine in PowerPoint on my mac and then used the grab function to make it one image. I hope that helps!

We chose ‘aubergine’ for my bridesmaid dresses as well! It’s a bit of a darker purple than yours but the same name. I love all of the colors you chose. All of my girls are having their dresses made and we chose a silvery-lilac accent color and then are having ivory and a green too (mostly because it’s an outdoor wedding). I look forward to being inspired by your choices!

I’m doing aubergine/moss green/ivory also! I’m so glad to see so many kindred spirits. I’ve definitely had a rough time trying to explain aubergine to most people. I’ve started calling it ‘Fig’ which is the name of the color of my bridesmaid dresses. I’m doing a June wedding so I’m adding a lot of green cymbidium orchids and other greenery to keep from being too ‘fall’ but I love your choices!

I want to make a board too, thanks for the Mac tip!

I just love the aubergine color, and am planning to give it a “featured spot” among my wedding colors. I just wish I could find a larger image of the bouquet in your inspiration board. I’ve searched the internets to no avail… so you have a link you coud send me?
