It’s been over a month since our last Welcome post, so we thought it was time to ask our new members to introduce themselves to the hive!

Since we’re asking you to share something with us, we’d like to share a little tidbit with you.
Did you know… that the first time Mr. Bee asked my parents for permission to marry me, they said no?!
But that was the first time they met him, and so I think it was all a bit of a shock.
If you’re new to weddingbee, or even if you’ve been reading for a long time, please tell us a little bit about yourself! Tell us your city of residence, your wedding date, and anything else you’d like to share! Oh and of course - welcome to the hive!
Hi, I’m new to the Bee! I am in Tampa, FL, and my wedding date is Nov. 19, 2010! I know that’s a ways away, but we are getting house this year and have to set priorities! Also, November 19 is the anniversary of when we first started dating, and it falls on a Friday that year, so it’s perfect for us. ![]()
I live in Houston, TX.
I eloped back in September, but now I’m turning around and planning a huge (450+ guests) wedding that will be on 14 February 2009 in New Orleans, LA, where my parents live.
I’ve been reading weddingbee ever since Mrs. Bee started planning her wedding on her xanga site! It’s been a long time, but finally, I’m getting married (again!).
I became a weddingbee addict as soon as I found the site - I love it! I currently live in Providence, RI and my fiance and I are planning a August 2008 wedding.
Thanks to all the bees and posters for your great ideas and help!
I’ve been reading for about a week, but my wedding is already two months away! I wish I’d found you sooner.
We live in Columbia, South Carolina, but are getting married in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina on May 3, 2008. We started off with a year to plan and now it’s almost here!
Well I have been reading Wedding Bee now for about 8 months. I love reading about other brides journey through this time of change. I hail from DC where I was born and raised. I am getting married in May 2008 whewhoo! How do you spell whewhoo anyway? I perpetual digress:( Anyway something funny about me. I am a total spaz, I knew that whoever married me had to have a good since of humor. So after a couple of dates I tested my fiance by doing the widget which is a dance I made up. It involves doing the running man and then jumping up while twisting your body. I look really silly doing it but everyones laughs which make me happy. Anyway my fiance totally loved it and took pictures. Aww…true love
I live in Southern New Jersey and am just about 90 days away from our wedding(06.07.08).
I’ve been visiting the bee since before we were even engaged! Now that my planning is pretty much complete, I need to thank all of the Bees for countless ideas and tons of inspiration!
Hi everyone, I have been reading for awhile (since before I got engaged but shhhh..) and I have posted on the message boards. But I am from CT and got engaged this past October on a beautiful hike. We are getting married October 19 of this year (one year, to the Sunday from our engagement date) in a mansion in Brookfield, CT. I can’t wait!! Thanks for all your inspiration and keep up the awesome work ladies!!!
I’m in DC and getting married in May 2008 in Asheville, NC, near where my fiance and I met and his family lives. I love this site since it’s updated so frequently - it’s a great distraction from work!
Hello, I am quite new around here, although I have been blogging since July last year. I live in England
We got engaged on Christmas Eve last year (very romantic!) and we’re getting married in November.
I am completely addicted to Weddingbee and sooooo glad I found it ![]()
I’ve been around here for something like a *hides* year now. I’ve gotten so many great ideas from you Bees! (sometimes, i think im a little TOO ambitious though)
My name is Kyleigh. I live in South Florida (HI Mrs. Petunia *waves*) but am getting married in my hometown of Aurora, Illinois (about an hour outside the city)
We got engaged in August, and are planning an October 24th wedding. Can i tell you, i’m stressed!

Hi, I’m Nicole.
I live in Dallas, Texas and got married Friday April 13, 2007 at Fair Park during one of the worst storms of the year (tornados and hail). I know it has come and gone and I have been reading consistantly for 2 years now, but the ideas are great and I like seeing how weddings evolve.
About me, I am a Calligrapher and love letters and paper (and I have some strange facination with chairs). Oh, and married life is great! ![]()
I’ve been reading for a couple months now. We got engaged on Christmas day last year and are getting married May 2, 2009, here in Nashville, TN.
Hi! I’ve been reading since i found the website a few months ago.
My fiance and I are getting married on July 12, 2008 in Erie, PA. Oh - my veil came yesterday!!!!
Hi,
I’ve been reading Weddingbee for a while. I got so many great ideas and money saving tips while I was planning my own wedding. I will be married 2 years this May and I’m still addicted to this site!
My husband and I met while I was living in NYC. Now we live in NJ with our golden retriever and are expecting our first baby this June.
One of my husband’s hobbies is beekeeping. So we make our own honey and recently got into creating homemade cosmetics.
I live in Dallas, TX and am a Newlywed (Dec 1, 2007). I’ve been reading Mrs. Bee’s blogs even from before she was married, since 2003 to be exact! I love weddingbee.com, it was and is a brilliant idea. I believe in Love at first sight. I knew I wanted to marry my husband by the end of our first date. Fast forward 9 years later, we are still very happily inlove and finally married.
I’ve been reading for about a month.
I live in Buffalo, NY, trying to plan a wedding in my hometown of Cleveland, OH. We got engaged last September, and I’m planning a July 2009 wedding. Long engagement, but we just bought a house and have alot of other things going on.
I love this site- I had kind of resigned myself to the fact that I would not be a bride who could plan, coordinate, make invitations, decide on centerpieces, or pick out a dress. A few weeks of reading weddingbee and I am totally obsessed! I love reading all the stories and ideas… and can’t wait to get started!!
Anyone else getting married July 4? Are you incorporating any patriotic themes into your wedding?
I’ve been reading for quite some time, engaged for quite some time, and we’re getting married in my home state of Alaska on July 19, 2008.
I love all the ideas on this site, and the giveaways (thanks for the nail polish). Oh and my tidbit, my FI had to ask my parents over the phone and then the ring wasn’t done in time so my parents thought I had told him no.
I’ve been reading for a few months ![]()
I live in Enterprise, AL, been engaged for a year and getting married July 12, 2008!
I am getting married in September of 2008, I have been reading this site for a few months and I love it! Planning a DC wedding can be expensive, so I love all of the DIY Ideas with teh helpful tips! Thank you bees for helping my work day go by faster ![]()
Hi, I’m Jilian from Blacksburg Va. (go HOKIES) I was married April 28, 2007. Unfortunately I didn’t discover the ‘hive’ until after my wedding!! Even so - I’m addicted. All this inspiration makes me want to have another wedding! Hmm… or start hosting lots and lots of parties!
I have been a devoted reader for several months. Well, I am more of an obsessed reader. I spend every spare moment on weddingbee, snippet & ink, {ritzy bee}, The Brides Cafe, Style me Pretty,… I have actually been planning my wedding for years! Wedding planning is my “happy place.” My fiance can’t make fun of me though, because he is obsessed with sports blogs like “Hogcall” about the Arkansas Razorbacks. I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas and that is where we will be getting married in May 2009!
i, too, became addicted the moment i found weddingbee. it’s always open in my browser.
we got engaged in september 2007 & our wedding date is september 13, 2008. our dating anniversary is also in september, so september is an important month for us!
we live in huntsville, al & will be getting married here also. i was excited to see another alabama bride - hi erin j.!
We got engaged in September 2007 and we’re getting married August 2, 2008. It’s getting down to crunch time and I’m started to get stressed but you bees make it a little more bearable (I’m getting lots of ideas!). Oh, and we’re up here in Toronto, Ontario ![]()
Hi! I’m Miss Peng and I love the Ladies! I represent Sacramento….Sac Town the Mack Town!
Hi! I’ve been reading for about a week or two and I wish I had found this place sooner! I live in New York City with my wonderful husband to be. We got engaged in December and we’re getting married at the end of August in South Jersey. I’ve been loving sorting through all the good ideas people have used for their own weddings - it’s been really inspiring!
I’ve been reading weddingbee since before I got engaged too!
I live in Columbia, South Carolina but I’m planning a wedding in Michigan near my hometown of North Muskegon.
This is definitely the most helpful wedding planning blog I’ve found and I love all of the ideas and support I can get from the blogs and the boards!
I’m not engaged (yet!) but have been following weddingbee for quite some time. I’m from Toronto, Ontario and 5 of my close friends have become engaged and will be marrying this year!
I found weddingbee about a month ago and have been addicted ever since! It’s so much fun reading about how each bride goes through the planning process (and getting to see the wedding pictures after!). I live in NYC and am getting married in my hometown of Indianapolis in June 2009 — plenty of time for me to take on more DIY projects than can fit in my tiny Manhattan apartment! ![]()
Hi my name is Kelly. I got engaged July4,2007 and am getting married in September 2008 in Aspen, CO even though I live in Houston, Texas and so does all of our family and friends. It’s a destination wedding, really.
I am so happy that I found the weddingbee site linked from stylemepretty a few weeks ago. I check it at least 5 times a day now, and there are so many great ideas. It is such a fun and useful site!
Every morning I look forward to getting my daily dose of the weddingbee! I love this site and its been so helpful in my wedding planning!
I live in San Francisco, CA and will be getting married at a winery about 50 miles out east located in a city called Pleasanton on 11.22.08!
Been collecting wedding magazines (primarily InStyle, Martha) for who knows how long! Friends can’t poke fun of me now since my library has been on a constant rotation between friends who are getting married!
My fiancee proposed while we were traveling Europe this past summer at a castle in Prague! We decided to have a long engagement and buy a house first, so we are planning our wedding for June 26, 2009 in Newport, RI! I just recently found weddingbee and love reading about all the great DIY projects and seeing pics of real weddings!
Hi -my name is Amy and I have been reading for about two weeks - it’s my new addiction
Weddingbee is a wonderful wedding blog!
I got engaged in June 2007 in the Bahamas and we are getting married on September 20, 2008 in Garrison, NY. My fiance’s mom introduced us which I feel was a random way for us to meet.
Hi! I guess you could call me a mommabee– as I am the mother of a bride– who happens to also be an out of town bride (she’s at VA Tech finishing up before heading out of state for her new job)– I totally love all the advice and ideas everyone shares certainly makes planning a wedding via email alittle easier. And I gotta say the Bee’s are the friendliest–much nicer than any other site I have peeked at.
Hi, I am also new. My name is Denise and I will be getting married on November 15th, 2008 in Burbank, CA. I absolutely love this blog, thank you so much. I am from CA and my fiance is from RI, so we will be a bicoastal family.
I ‘ve been a fan of wedding be for a while now and I just got married last year. I live in the Bay Area, CA. I still can’t get enough of weddingbee.
Hi to JILIAN - and also cinderellasmom - I found weddingbee while being at Virginia Tech as a visiting scholar. Must be in the air, eh?
I´m back in Germany now (I´m german) and not engaged yet - but I´m working on it ;o)

Weddingbee is my guilty pleasure. Residing in OC, California. Been engaged and reading Weddingbee since June 2007 (the last day of June technically). FI knows when it’s quiet, I’m reading Weddingbee. We’re just starting to plan our late spring/early summer 2009 wedding. So excited! Hello to all the bees, bloggers and readers!
Hi I’m Bunny .I live in South Florida, and I have an addiction! I’ve followed Weddingbee for several months now . Recently engaged , December 1st (congrats Kimberly B.!!) and already elbow deep into DIY for our March 2009 wedding. Weddingbee is a GREAT resource . Real people , real problems , real weddings! and the support everyone gives eachother is amazing!
Hi! I got engaged on Christmas Eve to my best friend, and one of my friends told me about weddingbee. It’s great, and I’m addicted!
We are currently in the early stages of planning the wedding, which will be on July 25, 2009 in the city we both grew up in/the greatest city in the world- Chicago. =)
Hello everyone!
I’ve been reading for awhile now and I just can’t get enough! We’ve been engaged since last July (my 27th birthday!!) and though we live in California’s Capitol (Sacramento) we’re getting marriend in Monterey because it holds a very special place in both our hearts! I just can’t wait until our day - 10/11/08 ![]()
Ciao Ciao!
We’re from the big apple and getting married this June =) We like to goof around and make “bets”…. I lost the first one and owed FI a 16 course meal - this also sparked our relationship. Throughout this time, we continued this betting tradition and FI ended up having to plan a surprise trip… about a year later… during one of the nights on the trip, he got down on one knee and proposed with a ring that he made himself. We’re incorporating this ring’s theme into our wedding. I can’t believe that our cake baker will be able to do that… we’re really excited!!! and thanks to wedding bee for all the inspiration in making our wedding even more personalized.. yes we have many many DYI projects!
I have read this site for about a year of my planning, and taken many ideas, and been inspired for more. Now, with 4 weeks to go, I feel like all of the bees and readers have helped plan the big day!!! Thanks!
I’ve been reading for a year! I got engaged last March and will get married 10/11/2008 in Tucson, AZ. Although neither my Fi or I are Hispanic, we are adding a lot of Mexican wedding tradtions to our reception to reflect the city we reside in! I heart Weddingbee!
Hola!
I’m Jess. I’m not really new to the site (I’ve been reading it for quite a while now), but I don’t think I’ve really ever “introduced myself”. I got engaged on Christmas of 2006 and I’m getting married June 7, 2008, on our six-years-of-dating anniversary. Cheesy, right?? Haha, I love it. Anyway, my fiance and I are currently living and working in his home state of Maryland, but we’re getting married about four hours away in Pennsylvania (at our college, where we met). Most of my family and my bridesmaids are in New Jersey, where I’m originally from, so planning’s been a bit hectic. But it’s all worth it! Three months from tomorrow!! ![]()
I’m pretty new to this site and can’t believe how useful it’s been .. i think the idea of multiple authors is so great too! We got engaged last November 7, and are headed toward November 15, 2008 in fort macon/beaufort, nc for our wedding… I never knew that planning would be so much fun and that there was so much out there! I feel like I am playing catch up to all those brides that have thought about their wedding for years, so i’m glad there’s a place like this to help me ![]()
Hi Everyone! I’ve been on wedding bee for about a month and I am completely addicted! I got engaged June 14th, 2007 while living in St. Louis, MO. We moved to San Jose, CA the following month. We’re getting married May 15th, 2009 in my hometown in Southern MN, although we’re both from MN and all of our families are there! Thank goodness for my Mom who is serving as my wedding planner!
Thank you to all the bees for your inspiration!
Heidi
Hi, I’m from NYC and have been reading weddingbee since shortly after it began. I am constantly blown away by the Bees’ creative DIY skills, and have actually contemplated just asking the NYC bees (i.e. Mrs. Snow Pea) if I could hire them to do my DIY crafts for me. I am sooooo not crafty.
I started reading Weddingbee after my wedding was over (7.4.05) in AZ. But I love crafting and the ideas on here are so awesome! Plus, who doesn’t like looking at wedding stuff?
Thanks to all the bees!
Found wedding bee shortly after our engagment 1/24/2008, thanks to my fellow brides at work. Mostly lurking since then.
Originally started planning a Sept 2008 wedding in Chicago (where we met), but a vendor screwed us over. So we scrapped that, started planning again from scratch, and are now doing a April 6 2008 wedding at FH parents’ condo in Florida. Way smaller, way cheaper, way less stress. (Planned the major components in about 24 hours.)
Can’t wait….one month from today!
Hi Everyone,
I just recently found the wedding bee and totally love it! I live in California but will be getting married in October 2008 in Maryland.
hey goldtome! i live in huntsville al and am getting married on september 13th as well!!
where are you getting married at?
I’ve been reading for about a year or so. I got married on August 15th (it was awesome, our first dance was in the pool!) and haven’t been able to tear myself away even though I’m married.
I’m a photographer so I also like to keep up on what the brides want and where the trends are going (and the trends to avoid).
I live in Sacramento, my wedding date is 6/7/08 and I just want my wedding to be here so I can stop with all this silly planning. Being engaged for 16 months is too long. I just want to get married, see my friends and family and get on with things!
I’m slightly new to the beehive. I live in Chattanooga, TN. Our wedding date is June 17, 2008 (but may be changed to June 14, 2008–eek! I have a blog with details on that), and we’ve been best friends for years!
Hi! I’ve been reading Weddingbee since I got engaged last April. I thought I had a long engagement, 11 months, but it has flown by and I’m getting married in 8 days!!!! I am sooooo excited. We’ve been planning a 3-day wedding weekend in my home town of Santa Barbara, it’s hard to believe it is almost here.
I had my first wedding nightmare last night . . . long story short, I had big huge 80’s crimped hair! It was horrific.
hellloooo! Me & the boy currently live in the ATL, but we’re getting married in CA in September. Tidbit about us– we’ve been doing the long distance deal WAY longer than living in the same city (a year plus versus two months).
I’ve been lurking here for a couple of months, and am so grateful to have found it.
The Man and I live in Pasadena, CA, and we’re getting married here on 10/11/08. I kind of love that our 4 year anniverssary will be on 10/11/12
He proposed to me in the Globe theater in London this past September and I kicked into planner mode almost immediately. I’ve done this once before (marrying the right one this time) and I really enjoy party planning.
Hi! I found Weddingbee not too long ago and loved it from the start!! I am planning a Nov 2008 wedding in North Jersey and love seeing all the creative ideas from all the bees!
Hey there. I’ve been totally addicted for the past month! I feel like I haven’t done my homework if I fall behind on your posts
Got engaged last March in Santorini. My greek god and I are getting married in Newport in September on the beach and we live outside of DC. Thanks for all of the helpful tips and links!
Hi! I have been a self proclaimed Weddingbee addict for about a month now… I couldn’t believe my already married friends had never told me about it, but am glad I came across it on my own.
My fiance and I got engaged last Christmas day and we are planning to get married in the Summer of 2009. We are currently living near Dallas, Texas but are getting married in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida since both of us are originally from south Florida. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful ideas and pearls of wisdom I’ve already gained from reading Weddingbee & am looking forward to continuing to be a part of the hive as our big day gets closer!
I’m getting married in Boston on May 23, 2009. We got engaged at a party during a tango dance– my fiance spun me across the floor and while I was spinning, took the ring from his suit pocket and dropped to one knee. It was amazing and I still can’t believe he planned it all! So many of our friends and part of his family were there, and that made it so special.
With all the inspiration and help from weddingbee, I’m sooo ready for our big day!
I’ve been reading WeddingBee since I got engaged (last Thanksgiving) and am planning a wedding for August 31 of this year in Malibu, Ca.
My Fiancee and I live in San Francisco, CA with our puppy and I’ve been so inspired by all this wedding stuff that I’m starting my own Green Event plannning business (with a huge focus on weddings of course!)
Buzz!
I have been reading weddingbee far two often since I discovered it in January…I check it a million times a day. We live in Cleveland and will be getting married here on 10/18/08. We are having a Halloween-themed wedding and are making our own invitations thanks to weddingbee links!
Hello everybody! I’ve been reading Weddingbee for about six months now. I’m 20 years old and about to finish college. I started reading wedding and event planning sites a couple years ago because it’s what I want to do for a career once I graduate. My college boyfriend and I are planning on getting married in 2010, so an engagement is in the works sometime in the next year or so.
I love Weddingbee because everyone is so helpful and there’s so many great ideas being bounced off of everyone. I’m from DC, and my FI is from Atlanta. Recently his job got transferred to Nashville, so all three locations are up for the location of the wedding. It’ll definitely be in the spring/early summer. I’ve always considered myself a spring bride since I was a little girl.
I just became a member of weddingbee earlier this week and I can’t wait to explore it even more. I’m on the boards all the time and I’ll try and post more. It’s addictive!
I’m from Boston and have been reading Weddingbee for a while. We got married in July 2006. And we’re expecting baby #1 in August! I love to see what’s going on with the new crop of bees and I refer friends who are engaged/planning weddings here all the time!
Hi there! I’ve been dating my FH for 10 years now. 10 years. Wow. We are high school sweethearts that spent quite a few years long-distance during college, but survived! In February of 2007 he proposed and we are planning our wedding for this coming October.
I don’t remember how I stumbled across weddingbee, but I have spent the last several months devouring the archives! Only this week have I finally “caught up”. I’ve gotten so many great ideas from the bees and the readers!

I think I stumbled on the Hive about a month ago and have been religiously reading & posting ever since! I live in Manhattan and getting married this July in North Jersey. At work I tend to do a lot of my wedding research and I found the knot to be frustrating b/c all the useful info was in the knottie bios and there isn’t a very good way to search through them. Alas, weddingbee has saved me and gives me inspiration every week! Thank you to everyone who contributes to the boards and of course to the faithful Bees who post about their wedding planning lives to help poor souls like me!
i’ve been lurking here on weddingbee for about 7 months. i’m not even technically engaged yet… however, last night i did purchase all the paper necessary for our save the dates. we’re planning a wedding in summer 2009 on a cruise to alaska. i live in fargo, ND (so the winnipeg girls are my closest bees!)
Hi bees! I’ve been around here lurking/stalking/admiring for a while. the screen name is pronounced Brown Eyed Girl, fyi.
My FI and I are UCLA Bruins who got engaged Christmas Eve of 06! We’ll be getting married in Sept. of 09. LONG LONG engagement. =)
That’s okay…it gives me more practice time for my DIY insanity.
Hi!
I discovered the bee a couple of months ago and I agree with everyone else, this site is soo addicting! I check in on the hive everyday. What I like most about it is that it inspires me to be the craftiest person I can be.
I live in the bay area and I am getting married in May of 2009 at a winery in Livermore, CA. I’m originally from Florida and all of my family resides on the east coast, so my married life will definitely be bi-coastal (my FI’s family is all from Cali!).
Like most others, I’ve been reading for a few months. It’s definitely become an addiction - I check a few times a day usually! My FH knows not to try and lure me away from the computer when he sees the bee on the page
We’ve been engaged since September 07, and will be getting married at a local winery in October 08. We’ll have been together almost 5 years by the wedding. We’re both from Southwestern Ontario, currently living in London, Ontairo. I don’t think I’ve run into any other Londonites here?
Hi WeddingBees,
I’ve been reading WeddingBee ever since I got engaged in March 2006. Yes. Engaged for two years! I LOVE WeddingBee!!! I just moved to the Buffalo NY and will be planning a wedding either in Buffalo or in my hometown of Cleveland.
Hello also to the fellow Buffalo and Cleveland readers!! ![]()
Hello! I live in Chattanooga, TN, but am from the Chicago area, and we are having our wedding back home in IL in my grandparents’ backyard on July 26, 2008. I check up on Weddingbee almost daily!
I’ve been reading for only a few months, but I love the inspiration that wedding bee provides
Helped me find invitations that I LOVE…
My FI and I are in grad school in the Bay Area, got engaged in Disneyland in March 07 and we’re getting married in Tucson, my hometown, on August 15th, 2008. Woo for long-distance planning!
Hello!
I’ve been hooked on the Wedding Bee for a few months now. My FH and I live in NYC, and are getting married June 28 in Philadelphia - where I grew up and where all of my family lives.
As a result of my time reading Wedding Bee, I’ve taken on a whole slew of DIY projects after being inspired:)
Found Weddingbee last summer, and love how it’s grown! It’s really up-ed the ante on pulling out my best creativity, and I so appreciate the community, advice, and ideas.
I’m 5-25-08 bride, getting married in Colorado at Red Rocks. We’re having an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception - just keeping our fingers crossed that there will be no thunderstorms! Our colors are green and blue (although I’m using all colors in our flowers), and “rustic elegance” is the theme we’re trying to achieve. Birds have a subtle presence in that.
My name is Stacie and I recently discovered The Weddingbee searching for Wedding/Event Planning blogs. I am an aspiring Wedding/Event Planner so lately I’ve been addicted to anything having to do with weddings and event planning. I love this blog and I read it daily. I love all of the neat ideas and wedding tips and reading about your experiences in the planning of your own wedding.
Hi! Like many of y’all, i’ve been poking around the Hive for a while now. I am not formally engaged but plan to be sometime between now and June (i know he’s picked up the ring, so now i’m just waiting…) We’re thinking September 2009 for our wedding, which will be in DC, where we both live and work. So far all i know is that the wedding will be GREEN (the color — but also hopefully the responsible planning). I love all the clever ideas and inspiration here — thanks so much!
Hi! I’m Jennifer. I live in Norman, Oklahoma. I’m getting married on September 20, 2008 at a Girl Scout camp from my childhood. I love weddingbee, it adds perspective to the craziness to know that somewhere, many other women are going through the same stuff I am. lol ![]()
Hello! I live in southern CA and will be married May, 2, 2009! (still weird to see that word “married” but I love it!!!) I have LOVED wedding bee ever since I goggle’d “candy buffets” and it brought me to this wonderful site! Our wedding will be in Temecula, CA and I can’t wait to incorporate all the fun ideas I’ve found from this site. Thank you bees!
I’m guilty! I’ve been reading weddingbee even before I got engaged! We got engaged in November and have set a date for 8/2/08. We will be getting married in Sunnyvale, CA . I have incorporated a lot of ideas I’ve found from this site! I love all of the great ideas and funny posts from the bees! A huge thank you to all of the bees for sharing their ideas!
Hi Everyone. I’ve been a Weddingbee reader since early ‘07. I got engaged in July ‘07 and planning a wedding for May ‘09. My FI and I are super excited. We both reside in Southern California and plan to host the wedding close to home. I’m absolutely a big fan of this site. The bees are super helpful. Good job!
I live in Sarasota, FL. I have been (compulsively) reading WeddingBee for a few months. I’m a little embarassed to admit that I’m not engaged, or really anywhere close to it! I’ve always loved reading wedding magazines, etc. and reading the bees’ planning processes is really interesting to me. I’m also learning a lot from the various DIY projects. WeddingBee is also a great procrastination tool as I have more and more schoolwork.
Hopefully I won’t be burned out on wedding stuff whenever I do get engaged and start planning!
I live in NYC and have been reading Weddingbee for about 4 months. When I started reading I was not engaged. However, that all changed yesterday. Yayyy. Thanks to the hive, I have a lot of inspiration to help in the wedding process. I think that the wedding will be in early June of ‘09.
Hi Bees!
So great to “meet” all of you! I got engaged on December 14 and have been a religous Bee-reader ever since. We live in Boston and are planning a RI wedding in Summer 2009.
Thanks for all of the great ideas so far!
Hi Bees!
I’m addicted to Weddingbee! I’m a Weddingbeeaholic! And I think Mrs. Bee is an absolute genius for creating this site and for being such an integral part of its success!
I’m originally from Las Vegas but currently live in Philadelphia, because my fiance is doing a residency at UPENN.
Our wedding is planned for October 10, 2009 in Las Vegas!!
No it’s not destination baby wooo hooo…it’s more like that’s where we’re from and convenient for everyone..hehehe.
But gotta love family…that is who the wedding is for right? (wink wink)
I love all the bees..everyone is so friendly, helpful, and so on the same page ![]()
i’m a new”ish” weddingbee addict, i’ve been around on a few posts but i’m a shy commenter
everytime i go near a computer my boyfriend just shakes his head and says “that wedding site again”.
i’m 19 and just WAITING to be engaged (blast college). we’ve known for a while now that we’d like to end up marrying each other but know that we’re still very young and thus the whole getting a degree/stable job/buying a house, etc. comes before our trip down the aisle.
i love this place, it’s so diverse, there’s always something interesting to be found.
to make a long story short, hi!
Jackson, Miss. bride-to-be here!
I adore the site and have gotten so many awesome ideas from all you lovely ladies.
August 23 will be here before I know it!
Hi! I posted in the old welcome post by mistake - I just stumbled across WeddingBee.com and am in love! It is great! Its the first site I go to in the morning, I am officially an addict!
So here is a little about me:
Name: Kate
Occupation: Corporate Event Planner
Residence: Boston, MA
Engagement date: October 27, 2007
Wedding Date: May 2009
A fun tid-bit - I found my gown on the Feb 22 Annual running of the brides in Boston! It was great fun! I didn’t expect to find a dress, just wanted to go for the experience - and ended up finding the perfect gown! I can not wait until 2009 - so far away!
I happened upon this site and I adore it. I’ve been reading the digest for a few weeks while I plan my Sept 08 wedding. I share a lot of the ideas with other brides and constantly tell them “the wedding bee suggested this…”
Its so cute. And so down to earth. I love it!!!

Hi! I’ve been reading Weddingbee since June or July when I accidentally found it, and bookmarked it for future use. Then I got engaged in August (total surprise even though we’ve been together for 6 years!) and now I’m an addict! We’re getting married in Louisville, KY, in May 2009, on the roof of a local museum! We picked Louisville because it’s “neutral” territory — I’m from Maryland and he’s from Pennsylvania, but we live in Louisville now while I’m in school, so it’s a great way to show off this great city to our family and friends!
Hi! I just found Weddingbee about two weeks ago. I’ve been engaged since last April and our wedding is Sept. 5th. We’re having it in a Japanese Garden in So. Cal.
I love Weddingbee and the great ideas I’ve found on here. Thanks Bees!
I just discovered weddingbee a few days ago, but I love it! I live in Ohio, but we are getting married in my hometown, Muskegon, MI.
I would love to hear from you sayithot, since we’re both planning a wedding in Muskegon!
hey jenny in huntsville! great choice of wedding date!
we’re getting married at the monte sano lodge. you?
I think I started reading the site in January of 2008 right after we got engaged. Our wedding date is set for May 30, 2009. My fiancee is a US Marine, currently deployed to Iraq. He’s from Fl and I’m From CA but since he’s stationed here, we’re having the wedding in CA, at his base. I love all of the DIY projects eventhough I don’t think I could manage the patience it requires to do most of them. I have gotten some really great ideas for my wedding (I hope you don’t mind me stealing them!) and I have to say that this is by FAR the best site I have come across. I love that everyone on this site is so positive and there’s no cattiness and overall everyone is supportive and constructive with their suggestions/ideas. Thank you for having this great site!

I think I might have introduced myself already…but I’m Erin, and I wanted to say hi to the other gals in Buffalo!
I’m getting married July 12 in Buffalo. I grew up in PA, but we decided planning the wedding here (where we live) would be easier for a lot of reasons.
Like many of the others have mentioned, I’m glad to have stumbled across weddingbee because everyone is generally so pleasant and helpful!
Hello! I actually got married on 2/2/08 in Pasadena, CA this year, but have been reading weddingbee for about a year before our wedding. I could not have planned my wedding without this website! Even though we have been married for over a month, I still visit this site regularly…my husband calls it wedding withdrawal. I cant help it…..im addicted.
Weddingbee is awesome! i’ve been reading for about 6 months now (i was searching for a good wedding blog–this is definitely one of the best!), and i have 6 months until my wedding date. i love reading about every bride’s journey and everyone’s ideas, especailly all the DIY projects–they make your wedding so much more personal! i’m from up north in Toronto, Canada!
I’ve been a wedding bee addict for quite some time now. I ditto Grace-my favorites are the DIY projects that not only bring personal touches to the wedding, but also saves $$$. It’s kept me up until 2AM every morning so far….
