Cream Puff Gone Wild!!!

March 7th, 2008 @ 11:20 am by Mrs. Cream Puff

WHOOHOOO!!!!!

Oh yes, last night I had the BEST fun thus far in the wedding planning. I bought out Rite Aid’s entire supply of mini eggs. What a rush!!

This is my cart, approaching the supply of mini eggs:

Me, clearly high from the wonderful, sugary fumes:

The supply in the back of my car (note how I took the boxes, too!!):

Oh lord, the joy, I kid you not. The total, unadulterated joy.

I made friends with the lady at Rite Aid the other day, when I bought my initial 9 pounds. At first she thought I was nuts, but when I explained what I was doing, she was very helpful. She told me that the mini eggs would not be on sale for long. She also told me that they would likely NOT be getting more in. Which means I must now take a tour of bay area Rite Aids. I am absolutely LOVING this task, I am not going to lie.

34 pounds down, 26 pounds to go. WHOOHOOO!!!!

I love you and your mini egg obsession. I will never eat another mini egg without thinking about you and your adventures. :)

You are going to completely screw up Rite Aids ordering of mini eggs for 2009. They’ll have 60 lbs of eggs left over next easter…. hehehe.

I am giving away mini-eggs as my favours as well. I ‘heart’ mini eggs. Just curious, what size of box are you putting them in? How many do you figure each box will contain??

Mmm…mini eggs. I bought a bag of them on Tuesday and they were gone by Wednesday. It’s really pathetic…I’ll never fit into my dress at this rate.

How exciting and what a great idea! I was wondering if you can tell me whether these eggs will keep that long, from now till your wedding in August? I’m also getting married in August and certainly don’t want guests saying those are “expired eggs” that they can’t eat them or that I’m trying to feed them expired candies.

Thanks!

I just bought some of the dark chocolate ones yesterday - those were *really* yummy!

Can’t wait to see your final product!

Wow! I really want to do that right now but I’m trying to hold off a little longer because I know the price will go down (at least at the store I go to annually haha). Do they not have the 1kg bags where you are?

Hopefully you didn’t explain that you planned on eating 60 pounds of chocolate yourself. Next time you should say that.

I love that photo of you! I heart Cadbury mini eggs, too.

:) If you get desperate, you can get the mini eggs online at amazon.com. Also, you can send e-cards from the cadbury web site: http://www.cadbury.co.uk/EN/CTB2003/fun/fun_cards/

The Safeway near me has 900g (close to 2lbs) bags of them for C$10-ish, so you might try Safeway if you have them there!

you meanie ;) now some little child is going to have to go without their Cadbury mini eggs… My FI is a huge fan of those little morsels of goodness too–they are apparently his favorite candy of the whole year’s supply of holiday options!

You are adorable Miss Cream Puff! Love the picture-taking in public places. If you are anything like me, you are going to have a hard time keeping those around until your wedding though ;)
