Flavoring Spoons

March 10th, 2008 @ 6:38 pm by Mrs. Lovebird

While Mr. Lovebird and I were out shopping yesterday, we came across these all natural honey tea spoons by Melville.

Wouldn’t they make great favors? Mrs. Bee gave out awesome honey favors at her wedding. Maybe instead of a candy buffet, you could have a beverage buffet with dessert. For example, you could get an old fashioned espresso machine and have cappuccinos, hot chocolates, flavored coffees and various gourmet teas. You could then have rock candy swizzles and these as sweetners!

These honey tea spoons also come in other flavors such as lavender, lemon and orange blossom.

These chocolate caramel, peppermint and butter toffee spoons would work great with your coffee and chocolate drinks too!

Any wouldn’t the kids love these?

I think this is a wonderful idea! My fiance and I used to go on “Starbucks dates” every other day for our first few months of living together, and it was great because we’d sit for hours and just talk about life. Incorporating coffee/teas into our wedding would be sort of a reminder of all of those dates. :]

I’ve seen similar ones at some specialty coffee/tea stores that are on an actual spoon, not just a lollipop stick.

Chocolate ones are *so* easy to make - simply google “Chocolate spoons” and a ton of tutorials come up.

Making honey spoons involves making honey candy, which is a bit of work, but definitely doable. Plus they’re be way cheaper than $1.50 each!
