Shooting In My Skivvies

March 12th, 2008 @ 9:28 am by Mrs. Shortcake

Now here’s an idea! For those of you who aren’t doing a full boudoir shoot for your hubby-to-be’s, how about a doing a “mini-boudoir shoot” like Holly with your photographer, right before you get dressed? That way, you know your hair and make-up will be fabulous, and you’ll be at the height of bodaciousness!

Shooting In My Skivvies : wedding photography vancouver Miniboudoir

(yes, I adore Anne Ruthmann, yes I think she’s the bomb,)

Because our budget has… ehem… blown way out of proportion as compared to its earliest conception, I haven’t scheduled a boudoir shoot. Taking some pictures before getting dressesd seems like a wonderful alternative - I just wouldn’t be able to give Mr. Shortcake the photographs as a wedding present on the day of.

What do you think? Do any of you know of any affordable (and awesome) boudoir-shooters in Vancouver?

what a great idea - we too overstreched our budget to the exclusion of a boudouir shoot, which i know my honey would have loved!!! since photography was one of our splurges, this is the perfect compromise - thanks for the idea!

Someone just recommended Anne to me for boudoir photos… she does beautiful work! I don’t think Terre Haute is too far from Chicago!

Anne was my photographer–she hasn’t blogged my wedding yet–I can’t wait to see the photos! We loved her and her work–I did not do b-pics, but I’ve seen some of her b-pic samples, and they are beautiful. Even if you are not in Indianapolis, you should write to her, because she travels to a lot of weddings and might be able to squeeze you in if she’s traveling to any area near you sometime soon.

This is a great idea, my one concern would be that hopefully the photographer could refrain from posting them with all the other photos on their website or in the proof area. I mean, I sent the link to my proofs to everyone I know, and I don’t think I would have necessarily wanted all of them to see me in a provocative pose in my skivvies ;)

Check out http://www.studiojeanie.com

She did my e-pics and if I get my bod in shape, I’m going to muster enough courage to get b-pics done with her.

@Miss Peacock:
Miss Peacock, I just so happen to know Anne (and she’s fabulous!) and she just might have some travel to chicago coming up….definitely worth calling her up to find out! :)
