About Mrs. Jasmine

Golden Girl

March 17th, 2008 @ 1:43 pm by Mrs. Jasmine

Late last year, I blogged about my disappointing shoe-shopping experience at Neiman Marcus and failed attempts to locate a particular pair of gold Manolo Blahniks. I finally decided to give up on those shoes and I found a new pair I love just as much. It was meant to be!

Please meet my new crush, Stuart Weitzman’s “Submit”. Hellllo lover!

I love these shoes for many reasons: they are incredibly well-made, the gold is so wonderfully shiny, the detailing is feminine and delicate, the heel is tall but sturdy, the fit is perfect, and they were reasonably priced (yay Zappos!**). I’m thrilled that I can wear these shoes a million times over after the wedding and that I didn’t have to break the bank to pay for them.My future mother-in-law also gifted me with these sparkly silver Stuart Weitzman’s to wear at the valima. They’re called Eiffel, which is only appropriate because I think these glamorous heels were made for dancing the night away in Paris!

**I just have to add how much I love Zappos. I ordered a couple pairs of shoes from Bluefly and a couple from Zappos and the Zappos return experience was ten million times more efficient and customer-friendly. From now on, all my online shoe buying will be from them!

Tell me about your wedding shoes! Did you have as hard a time choosing as I did?

gorgeous! I tried on those eiffel’s but wasn’t sure if I could handle the heel!

quick question: do you have to remove your shoes for any part of your ceremony? I do and have been looking for slides that i love but i’m wonderring if i’m being paranoid and i could just as easily remove a simple strap?

thanks!

Do you have links for both of the shoes you gave pictures of above or are the already sold out?

I love Stuart Weitzman! I am currently looking at a few pairs of his shoes for my wedding also. Both of those shoes look amazing! Unfortunately, I feel in love with a $500 pair of pink Gucci shoes on Bluefly (same “Hello lover” experience) but fortunately, or unfortunately, they sold out of my shoe size by the time I decided to buy.

qwerty: I don’t have to remove my shoes during the ceremony, but if I did, I probably wouldn’t have chosen these shoes as they have a tricky buckle closure. I think you’d probably find a slide the easiest, but I think it depends on the shoe– some buckles are easier than others, I think.

Baghdad Bride: Shame on me, forgetting the links. Here you go:

I love Stuart Weitzman too! I just bought the “Eiffel” in gold for my wedding dress. I’m having a blended ceremony, so the wedding dress is being made out of a gold sari with burgundy accents and the shoes match perfectly!!

Miss Jasmine, very pretty!

I fell in love with Cole Haan’s Adelyn:

I purchased them the other night, I was having problems choosing until I saw them. It was all over after that.

Those shoes are great, but these are really comfy: http://www.bridalshoesonline.com/Valentina_p/dl41075-fslash-77.htm
They’re called Valentina’s. Give them a try.

Congratulations on finding your shoes! I totally feel your frustration (former, now that you found them) because I can’t find gold shoes that are decently price. Sprinkle some of that good luck finding shoes my way! =)

Miss Jasmine - I clicked the link to view your blog in Dec 07 - and those manolo’s are my wedding shoes! I just bought them last month after hours of google searching, I found them at http://www.footcandyshoes.com - and they still have them in every size starting at 7.5 and up! I love them and cannot wait to wear them at my wedding - good luck!
