Shoe Envy

March 18th, 2008 @ 11:14 am by Mrs. Canary

With spring approaching, I’ve noticed some really fantastic new shoes that would be great for weddings whether you’re the bride, bridesmaid, or guest. Too bad I already found my perfect pair, otherwise, I’d be buying up all of these. But I thought I’d share with all of you shoe-lovers in the hive.

I saw these at Nordstrom and they are just perfect for a wedding or a night out. I even tried them on and they are so comfortable. I love the thick straps and the shiny gold heel. They also come in black and red, but I think the gold is the nicest looking color.

While browsing a J. Crew email in my inbox, I saw the model sporting these babies and I just had to check them out on the site. I think they’d be fabulous for a shabby-chic wedding or a short dress bride. They’re fun and spunky! Unfortunately, the price tag isn’t, but a girl can daydream. ;)

A less expensive, but also just as spunky alternatives are these ones (also from J. Crew). Who doesn’t love the classic look of a D’Orsay heel?

Anyone else have some great new shoe finds? Not that I need to feed the addiction, but there’s always browsing. :)

P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts these past few weeks. I had been traveling for work in Seattle and Tokyo. I have a few posts coming up about my finds, but mostly on my obsession with finding Gocco supplies. ;)

Hi Ally–

I’m going to do a more extensive post on this too so stay tuned for more…

But, I found a lot of Gocco supplies at various stores, but the only place that actually sold the machines (from the PG-5, PG-11, and Gocco for Arts) was at Tokyo Hands in Shibuya. Not everyone at the store is familiar with Gocco, so I headed up to floor 5A (where all the design supplies are sold) and showed a salesperson a note that said “RISO GOCCO” and they were able to show me where they were located (behind the counter).

Hope that helps!
