About Mrs. Lovebug

Nesting. One Bead At A Time.

March 20th, 2008 @ 10:32 am by Mrs. Lovebug

Have to share this snippet of nearlywed dialogue. I’m making Southwestern-themed wine charms as part of our out-of-town welcome baskets (to debut shortly), but since the charms for those haven’t arrived yet, I thought I’d make a few for us real quick, from some other charms I had laying around.

But, being the old blind bat that I am, I can’t see to fasten the tiny little jump rings to the charms. I need Mr. Lovebug’s younger, better peepers…

ME: “Honey, could you help me with something real fast? Don’t worry. It’s ‘N W R’.”

HIM: “Never-ending wedding?”

pause

HIM: “Oh, I guess that’d be ‘N E W’. My bad.”

Anyway, check out what he and his nimble fingers and sharp eyes helped me make:

What do you think? Should I chain him to the dining room table and make a one-man sweatshop out of him?

Those are adorable! That looks like a good wedding task for him, just be sure to praise his work abundantly and be around to pass beads and pliars and whatnot.

Be careful–

If you claim ERN (Eyesight-Related Need) and insist he make all the NEW (Nifty Elegant Winecharms) he may go on strike and demand his NWR (Nearlywed Workers Rights) and the last thing you want on your hands is a WNR (Woeful Nuptial Riot)!

beanchar: ha! We’ve had more than a couple WNRs already.

jnicholea: a company called Watchfaces-Charms.com; they were about $60 each. :)
