March 21st, 2008 @ 3:17 pm by Mrs. Bee

Our photographer Cappy just fed-ex’d us our wedding negatives.

At one of our first meetings, we were surprised when Cappy told us that half the time couples never make their wedding albums!

Now it’s been over three years since Mr. Bee and I got married, and we still haven’t made our albums.  We plan to make them… some day soon. ;)

Have you procastinated on making your wedding albums?

Still haven’t either. Although, for us, it has only been 6.5 months. :)

I know your not alone. A photog friend of mine was telling me about albums they have waiting to be picked up or proofed. All of them are paid for and just sitting there.
I put mine off because it wasn’t included in my package. Had it been, I would have knocked it out a lot faster.

We haven’t done our albums either. But we prepaid for them and for 2 different parent albums. So if we don’t do ours in the next 6 months, we lose our money. lots of money.

In hind sight, I would have just ordered one album for us and gotten the parent albums using Shutterfly or My Publisher. Oh well.

We were just talking about doing this last night! I’m lobbying to order them now as a 1 year anniversary present to ourselves, but we quite possibly will wait longer…our photographer said we can take as much time as we want.

Sure have!….procrastinated, that is. We had the best intentions to make albums to give to our parents as well as prints to include in our thank you notes. Well, it’s been over 6 months - I’m glad no one’s holding their breaths. :-)

It took two years to do our DVD. Let’s just say that after the honeymoon, anything remotely wedding related was put away in a box.

You’re not alone. We have the negatives from our wedding and haven’t make any attempts to work on the albums yet.

i’m in mrs. corn’s boat (we’re date twins) - 6.5 months and not yet. i have five boxes of proofs that are calling me but i haven’t done it yet. we have had a conversation with our photographer (last week actually) about our options but haven’t gotten any further than that as it wasn’t included in our package. i really do want to do it though — when you spend so much money on photos you can’t have them sitting on a disc for ever!

We finally got our lazy butts to the photographer about 2.5 years after the wedding. Hopefully they should be done by the time our 3rd wedding anniversary rolls around.

Oooh, Mrs. Bee - Cappy is my photographer too! I loooooooove her!!! Haven’t had our wedding yet, but we still haven’t had prints made of our e-pics, and those were taken in November. Oops!

The one place where I did not procrastinate was on our wedding album…now the album of photographs from our out of town reception three weeks later…the photographer sends me nice reminders every few months. And don’t get me started on why I haven’t sent our preferred songlist to our videographer so they can put together an edit… this at 1.5 years after the actual event. I suppose everyone one procrastinates post-wedding. Wedding Bee should do a poll!
