Love love love!!!

Can you please tell me the size of the kraft boxes that you put the coasters in? There are so many choices on the site that I’m confused.

Thanks for the informative post. I always appreciate the price break downs and sources for materials. Your invitations look great. It must be a great feeling to do all this yourself too.

These look great! I have been following your iinvitation saga - and its so good to see that they turned out lovely!

I wanted to jelly beans like yours so so bad - but ultimately they just didnt go with the feel of the invite and the wedding. I opted for butterflies instead.

My are boxed invites as well, and spent roughly the same $$ as you did. Maybe a tad more because the project wasn’t all DIY.

We need more gals doing boxed invites and posting about ‘em.

Lara says:

Love those invites! Can you explain more in detail about the Gocco supplies? I have looked at stamps and embossing, and really want to do it myself, but I’m intrigued by the process you went through. Can you give me more detail?

Thank you so much!

Your invitations are lovely. I was wondering what font is that and where did you get it from? Can you send it to me?

9.
susan says:

Sorry… I just noticed you have several fonts.. I meant the script one on your labels…like calligraphy. Thanks!

@Laura: the favor boxes are 3.5×3.5 but you should buy them based on the size of your coasters!

@Lara: I bought all my gocco supplies at http://northwoodstudios.tripod.com/
judy is the best, and she knows her gocco stuff!

@susan: the font is “burges script” and you can buy it at

Thanks! I ordered my Gocco and inks weeks ago and had been kind of sitting around not doing much on the invite front, but after reading your post this morning, I actually priced everything out, and FH and I spent some time at Paper Source this afternoon buying all the supplies!

Millie says:

Oh your invitations are simply beautiful!! I am confused with all the post though..where exactly did you get them from? Thanks so much

Miss Penguin says:

@Millie: …I made them…is that your question? I didnt buy the invites, I just bought the supplies and designed and printed the invitations at home. The links below each picture contains the supplies i used for each step, and I designed the invitation on Illustrator and Photoshop on my home computer and printed the invitations at home using a home screenprinter.

most.helpful.post.ever!!!! (only because i plan on copying you to a T). One question - did you glue down the jelly bellies or anything? how do you know they won’t roll around and cause a big mess?????

15.
Tenfour says:

more questions - what all was wrapped in the ribbon, or was it just the invite? how did you include the inserts and in what order? also - did you leave the cotton in the boxes when you mailed them? can you tell i’m obsessed with these?

I LOVE them!! Silly question though… did you buy the gray ink or mix it yourself? I wasn’t able to find gray ink on the Northwood website…

Miss Penguin says:

@tenfour: well look at me, missing all this stuff :) sorry there! Okay, no the jelly beans arent glued down, they are free to roam in the box under the invites. I figure its no biggie! They will roll around and make a big mess…but theyll stay nicely tucked under the invite, and theres not really a lot of room for them to go anywhere.

Also, all the paper products were wrapped in ribbon. Invite on top, then directions/accomodations, then rsvp envelope, then rsvp.

I threw away the cotton.

tenfour says:

lighting fast is right! you’re totally my candy invite inspiration. THANK YOU thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!

Oops. Sorry, didn’t read the last line on the post. :)

Thanks for the prompt response though. You were super fast!

Miss Penguin…
I know you were prolly hoping you were through with all of these questions you have been getting but I have one more. The labels on the outsides of your boxes and all. They are actually paper right? Did you have them cut or did you do that yourself? Is there a fast way to doing it?

Thanks!
