Impending Makeup Trial, 2.0

Next month I have a trial with a makeup artist who comes highly recommended by my Day of Coordinator. I am hoping for something a little less vampy than the result of my last trial, and I have been searching for lots of images to make sure this second trial doesn’t go astray.
I found some great examples online of the type of makeup that I am looking for, but after finding a slew of inspiration images, I realized that I really needed to pay attention to the features of the people wearing the makeup. What looks good on blonde-haired-blue-eyed Reese Witherspoon will probably not look great on me.
I started seeking out images of celebrities who have features similar to mine — dark hair, fair skin, and big eyes. So far, these are the top contenders and the best examples of how I’d like my makeup to look on the wedding day (minus the obvious fact that I am not a celebrity!):
She has a wonderful glow about her — I like that the focus is always on her eyes, and the lips aren’t quite natural but just have a little punch of color.
She wears the natural lip-color so well, and her eyes really POP!
She doesn’t look overdone, and it’s difficult to pinpoint how much makeup she’s actually wearing. It just “fits” and it’s just enough to bring out her best features.
She does a smokey eye like nobody else can, but it never looks too gaudy or takes anything away from the rest of her great features.
Of all these contenders, do you have a favorite?

The second Rachel Bilson is definitely my favorite. Very natural, but beautiful. Great post - I’m a blue eyed brunette - I need to bookmark this!
I like Mandy Moore and Rachel Weisz. They look natural but better.
The eyes on the other ones may be a little too strong if you’re not used to wearing a lot of makeup.
Yea, the first picture of Marion is a little….much. I wouldn’t take that with you or you might get the same result as last time. Rachel Weisz’ makeup looks very bridal.

Mandy #1 has just enough makeup to stand out but not so much that you don’t look natural. Rachel #2 has beautiful color–maybe pump up the eyes just a tad and that would be a winner too.
I like Rachel Bilson #2 or if you’re looking for something more dramatic, then Marion #2. But you know what my absolute favorite is?
Your profile picture. 
I don’t know what your picture is from, but I think you should go with whoever did your make-up that day, if you can. Even if it’s yourself! Talking about highlighting features, that’s exactly how it looks on your Weddingbee picture, with the golden cheekbones and defined eye area (beautiful eyebrows btw!).
i’m all about the bilson look! go for it!

Rachel W #2 for a wedding. The others are so pretty but maybe a little too dark.
For a bridal look, I say Rachel Weisz #2 - soft & elegant. Rachel Bilson #2 is a close second, but perhaps it’s the bronzier skin color that is throwing me off.
I think Katherine McPhee could be another inspiration celebrity you might want to consider though (she’s absolutely stunning!):

I think Marion’s makeup is gorgeous….for the red carpet. I think it will be difficult to pull off in everyday life. Ever for everyday life as exciting as your wedding day. Mandy Moore always glows. I love her!

I vote for Rachel Weisz! I would be a little nervous going with the Rachel Bilson #1 b/c the eyes might come out looking too dark.
Rachel Weisz!! Your eyes are so beautiful, I think obvious or overdone makeup would distract from them. On her, you can’t even tell there is makeup but her eyes pop. Bridal, elegant, natural.
I have a huge girl-crush on Rachel Weisz, and I think Rachel #2 would make a beautiful bridal look.

I was trying to figure out who you reminded me of in your profile picture…it was Rachel Weisz! I like tboth of the Rachel Weisz pictures, though I definitely like her brows in the 2nd picture more than in the 1st.

I think Marion #2 would look very pretty on you because it would be good to add a little color, so you don’t end up looking washed out or too pale in your pics. (I have the same problem.) You could probably lighten up the eyeliner a little though.

for the trial, maybe you can ask the makeup artist to do the eyes last and then in progressive stages - so you get an idea of what it’d look like with just mascara and eyeshadow, and then with some smokiness and/or eyeliner.
Like so many others, I think you bear a great resemblance to Rachel Weisz, so I vote for her look #2.
@L: Thanks for the compliment! I actually did do my own makeup for my profile pic, which is from our engagement session. I do, however, find that my makeup wears off easily when I do it myself, so I still trust a professional for the big day
