Remember these shoes, I was lusting over last week?
I was so heartbroken because I was unable to find these beauties in my size ANYWHERE. Even with all the fabulous suggestions and shoe alternatives you all found me (and I’m SO thankful for), sometimes you find something it gets stuck in your head, and nothing else seems to give you that same feeling.
So, desperate to find this shoe, I actually wrote to GUESS, the maker of the shoe (clearly, I am deranged). I was basically shamelessly desperate, and pleaded for them to help me find my shoe, in my color, in my size. That story did not have a happy ending. I received an email back from customer service saying they ONLY made the shoe in black and white.
Humph! Sadness…
BUT THEN…
Zappos came to my rescue!!!
You see, back when I tried to first order the shoe when they didn’t have my size, up popped this little feature on the page:
I clicked the “Notify me if my size becomes available” button, and then this popped up:
I filled out all my information, and yesterday this email popped into my inbox:
AHHHHH! Huzzah! MY SHOE, in MY COLOR, in MY SIZE! I quickly zipped over to Zappos, and ordered right away…. VICTORY! Well, at least for now… I hope the shoe looks as good on my foot as in the picture!
I *heart* Zappos.

Gosh, I had trouble finding my perfect shoes too. I saw them like two months ago but didn’t buy (dumb decision)! So, I searched and searched but I could only find them in gold and not silver! Not even Zappos had them! After several unsuccessful attempts I found them at heels.com. But guess what….they were Guess shoes too!! I had even went to a Guess store and they didn’t have it!! So anyway, I can *completely* relate.

Ooh, those are pretty, Miss Toucan! How long did it take before you got the email that they had replenished their stock? I just used that feature a few days ago and am still hoping. *fingers crossed*
@Miss Gingerbread: um, I think it depends on the shoe, and the number of people that request to be notified. For my shoe, it only took a week, but I think I may have requested it another time a few weeks before that.
