About Mrs. Gingerbread

I want to say a big thank you to all of you lovely Bees and readers for your warm welcomes! I am totally overwhelmed by the love (in a good way). So as I try to collect myself, I thought I’d share my inspiration board with you. I stumbled upon Mosaic Maker last week and now I want to make an inspiration board for every aspect of my life. Oh, if only time would permit that.

Top row (L-R): Two brides! (Snippet & Ink Real Wedding), my dress, which is in the mail…more on this later (Watters gown), two bouquets! (Snippet & Ink Real Wedding), Swedish Princess cake (ivillage.com)
Center row: (L-R): Paper cranes (wiksten-made.typepad.com), the Capilano Suspension bridge (photo by Aki Mimoto, our friend/photographer), Naughty Monkey Live Wire shoes (heels.com)
Bottom row (L-R): Reception site (kerryphillips.ca), Peonies (ivillage.com), Vintage car (Oh no, I’m a horrible person and can’t remember where I got this image), White Aisle Invitations (whiteaisle.com)

So there it is, the little tease. I have plenty of stories to tell about almost all of the images or what they inspire, but I’ll save those for separate posts.

cj, it was the first dress i tried on and i ended up ordering it off of the internet. it probably won’t arrive until may. *gulp* i’m happy to hear that you love yours :)

Juliek, you are right, it does look very mochi-like. that’s the original way that the cake looks, but our will have more of a wedding cake look to it, though it will be that colour.

Miss Shortcake, i never even attempted the inspiration board myself until i stumbled upon mosaic maker. i love it!

So so so pretty!!!

I love mosiac maker. I made one awhile ago of my daughter and having it hanging up. Love the other features on that site too, it can be so fun.

Here is the link to the one I use.

It is so cool because you can change the set up and size of the mosiacs.

BA says:

Love your dress. It’s very similar to mine (a Marisa v-neck with Alencon lace). I love how romantic and soft it all feels! Gorgeous.

jenniferb, GB2.0 has seen the picture of the dress, yes. however, she has not (and will not) see me in the dress until our wedding day. i’ll have to post about what she is wearing soon :)

BA & chocopie, it seems to be a popular style, though i had a hard time finding many non-poofy wedding dresses in the stores.

The florist for the Snippet and Ink wedding (top row) is the florist we are using in Glen Ellen this August. Her name is Josette at Lavender Floral and she is fabulous. I really like the flowers in the trucks (instead of vases). Congrats on your first inspiration board!
