Exciting News For Dallas!!!

March 27th, 2008 @ 11:56 am by Mrs. Hydrangea

While I was browsing through the Paper Source website to see if they post the actual RGB or CMYK colors of their envelopes (if anyone knows, I’m searching for the exact color of their Strawberry envelopes), I stumbled upon their employment section and noticed that they are in the works to bring a store to my favorite mall in the whole world, Northpark!

All you Dallas brides (and DIY enthusiasts) get ready, because it looks like we are going to be as lucky as some of the other Bees in the very near future! I didn’t see an official date posted, but they are searching for employees for the location already.

If you email their customer service department they’ll give you the Pantone number. They aren’t exact matches as they use original colours but they get really close. We thought it was a shot in the dark but they got back to my fiance the next day with the number.

You can also buy the swatch book for $5. It includes all the paper as well as size guides for envelopes, cards, etc. It has been very helpful with color matching and ordering! Although it’s often out of stock.

NorthPark website says July 2008! Too bad my wedding will be over before then, but I’m sure I’ll still be a fairly frequent visitor!

So excited. I bought most of my paperie for my DIY invites from papersource.com. I bet I could spend hours in that store.

Side note - I have always loved Northpark. When I was a little girl, I remember looking up a those big metal people (sculpture) and thinking it was so cool and making wishes in the fountain. I love all the additions and stores. The updates are great but not overwhelming to the original architecture.

Miss Hydrangea, you just made my day! As a semi-newbie to Dallas (last month marked 1 year and a half & I’m still adjusting), one of the first priorities was finding a good mall (a.k.a. my home away from home.. :)) and when I stepped foot in Northpark, I knew I found it! How exciting (and convenient!) to have one more reason to visit. ;)

No way! I was going to go over to a friend’s place over the weekend to use their PMS swatchbook to try and match paper source Chartreuse! Never thought about just calling and asking! Woo hoo! PMS 610U here I come!

YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!
#1 - I love Northpark, and any “good” reason to go is, well, good!
#2 - I think I’ll be able to actually use the store. I’m thinking that I’ll need to send out my invitations by end of August/beginning of September for my November wedding…. plenty of time to peruse the store.

THANK YOU!!
