Crush On You (Yes, You!)

March 28th, 2008 @ 12:05 pm by Mrs. Jasmine

Scrub, scrub, scrub. Who knew that scrubbing one’s skin practically raw could feel so good? Recently I waxed poetic about Laura Mercier’s divine Creme Brulee scrub, but lamented the painful cost. Well today’s your lucky day– I found a cheaper, and dare I say better, alternative!

Ladies, please meet Crush on You Body Scrub from Product Body, a fabulous woman owned skincare line. This deliciously gritty body scrub is the best thing that’s happened to my overly dry, kinda round body. The texture is to die for: it’s fabulously textured with lots of grit so you feel like you’re really taking care of business. And the Champagne smell that I chose is wonderfully fresh and lemony. When I step out of the shower, my rough, scaly elbows have been scrubbed into silky smooth submission. My skin glows with happiness. I just cannot say enough good things about this scrub and I’m going to use it weekly to get my skin wedding and honeymoon ready.

I also ordered the Whipped Shea Butter which is awesome, but seriously rich. I wouldn’t use this all over your body, unless you have super dry skin. I think this is better for treating rough dry spots like elbows, feet, and knees. I would also save this for nighttime use because it can be a touch greasy. But it has a wonderfully whipped creamy texture and is so moisturizing.

Thank you to alessette for the Product Body suggestion from my last post!

Thank you so much! With my wedding only 2.5 months away, something like this will help to quickly moisturize my skin. :]

I just ordered
this from Bliss (its on sale, too) and I really like it. It heats up and leaves a nice moisturizer. I haven’t been using it for long enough to give it a huge thumbs up, but it makes me smell yummy. I also like this for a good scrub, although that has one of those big price tags. It has lots of “grit” so you really feel like you are doing a good job. I am an exfoliator junkie, so I might try this one, too :)

Hmm - Why is it I always end up spending all my ‘fun’ money on bee-recommended products?? Because they always recommend such awesome stuff!

Is there such a thing as being over pampered?? NOPE!

I can’t wait til my order comes in!

I was having so much trouble with my skin after switching bcp’s last year until I started taking vitamins! One women’s multi-vitamin a day plus Phliosophy’s On a Clear Day serum underneath Trish McEvoy’s beauty booter enhancer and moisturizer and I’m wedding and honeymoon ready!! I don’t like the price tag associated with Trish products, but nothing else has worked the magic on my skin like her skin care and makeup products!!

I found a great scrub and body butter at a local fair last year. I love the mandarin passionfruit products from Sugarlicious Scrubs. Very fruity and it’s much less then Laura Mercier’s which means you can buy more :)
