I Want A Comb, Over There…

March 28th, 2008 @ 12:35 pm by Mrs. Flamingo

The time has come to really, I mean really figure out what I want to do with my hair. My appointment for my hair trial is next weekend, and I have no idea what I want because I like so many styles. Though I’m still debating, the vintage style is slightly winning the race. But some vintage styles are not comb friendly and that’s something I must take into consideration.

Yup, I purchased a beautiful hair comb which I guess in the heat of planning and blogging, slipped my mind and was forgotten. Here it is… purchased on ebay for a mere $6, shipping included. What a bargain!

Another thing I must consider is that I will have a veil. It’s a classic style, but because I want a bun-ish type of hair-do, it limits the veil placement options. I tried wearing it under the bun (which I personally love) but it really doesn’t suit me. So I need to wear it not on the top of my head, but more in the middle. (Please see illustration)

Here are some more hairstyles. I’m going for the vintage-y, bun type, place comb over there & leave room for the veil kind of style.

Just the vintage-y part us missing. I’m wondering if waves like in picture 12 would work. It might be too much. What do you think?

Ah! This is so frustrating. How I hate being indecisive!!!

i think 3 will only work if you have those blunt cut bangs, but on your profile photo they look more side swept, i would go with 2 or 4. im a an of loose and romantic as opposed to stiff and over hairsprayed!

I love #2 and #11 they are just gorgeous! Your veil has a comb, too right? I love the looser looking ones, but I just get worried that the veil will tug at it too much during the ceremony. Maybe that’s why #3 is the best choice, it just looks so sturdy and the oooophm at the top is amazing!

Number 3 actually looks very retro - a sort of mini-beehive going on there. I actually love #3 a lot. Your very first photo (un-numbered) is also fun in a sort of Wuthering Heights way.

I like #4, but that’s the inspiration picture I’m using. :)

I love #4 and #11. I like #3 too, as my third choice. I love loose, romantic hair though.

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I kinda like 5, 6, and 7 myself. If you don’t have bangs though, number 6 will look much different. Oh and LOVE Ms. Heigel’s do in photo 9.

I’m not one for the”pouf” in front, (although it does look FAB on some people) so some of the first ones don’t appeal to me much.

I am borrowing your picture #3 because I love it! Not that I have bangs….but the style is very simple and elegant. I’d def take #3 with you as inspiration if nothing else.
