McLovin Will Be At Our Wedding

March 28th, 2008 @ 9:04 am by Mrs. Lovebug

…sort of. Presenting the third installment of our epic table numbers project:

Yeah, I could have waited until we have the last two done, as well, before blogging about it. But then McLovin wouldn’t get the attention he so richly deserves.

Oh, and we decided that printed in black and white, the photos were too stark. So we’re going for a softer, more vintage look instead. I just played with the colors in iPhoto (specifically, I clicked “Antique” and “Fade Color” a few times in Effects).

Next up, the final chapter: the bowling alley and the movie theater. And speaking of which, can anyone advise on where to find old school 3D glasses within a few days?

Do they need to be functional or just for prop sake.

If it is the latter, than (don’t kill me), you could make them. Just cut out the frames with white cardboard and get red and blue gels and cut them into the ‘lenses’.

I bet you could find them in a bookstore in the kids book section. These pics are so cute I am now trying to figure out how to steal your idea :)

Honestly, I don’t think this entire project could get any cuter!

i back up the bookstore idea. look in the kids section for a 3D book or 3D coloring book–yes they make them, and they’ll be cheaper–and if they don’t have it at a major bookstore like borders, check a dollar store. 3D isn’t as popular for today’s kids, so it might already be a discount item.

Shannon and Tiramasu are right you can find them in a book store in the kids section or even at Target where they have the kids books and coloring books. I just bought a book for my nephew with them last week. Save them and give them to a kiddie at the wedding with the books and a box of crayons.

junk/toy/kite stores usually have 3D glasses, try making a few calls to the local places, I’m sure they’d know who might have them if they don’t. Plus, toy stores are fun!
