About Mrs. Bee

LA Bee

January 13th, 2007 @ 2:29 pm by Mrs. Bee

Hi everyone!

Mr. Bee and I flew into LA last night to visit my family. Today I’m headed to meet with some of the LA weddingbee bloggers. Wow it’s a lot colder here than I expected! 8O

I packed quickly for the trip without giving a second thought to the liquid restrictions for carry-on items. When we got to the screening area, there were signs everywhere indicating that all carry-on liquid items had to be 3 oz. or smaller, and fit inside a quart size ziploc bag.

Quart size ziploc bags are handed out for free, so I placed my full-size face lotion and conditioner inside them. They went through the scanner where they were immediately seized. :( I could have gone out and checked my bag if I wanted to keep the items, but I didn’t have enough time.

So if you’re travelling on your honeymoon anytime soon, be sure not to carry on liquid items that are larger than 3 oz, and be sure that they all fit inside a quart-sized ziploc bag.

Well gotta run now… hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! :D

hey mrs. bee. i was wondering if you could make a post about my little sister. She is 11 years old and is one of 10 finalists in JIF peanut butter’s creative sandwich contest. Bee’s can vote once a day, everyday from now until Feb 6th. Every little bit would help. If she wins, she will get a $25,000 scholarship!

That is the link. And my sister is Sarah from Michigan. Her sandwich is the Caramel Apple Turtle Treat. She is really excited about it, and i would love to see her win. She is such a sweet little girl. I got to see her for the first time in about a year at Christmas, and as soon as she saw me, she gave me a big hug and said how much she missed me. Our family has been through a lot lately, and it’s really nice to see them all pull behind her on this. Thanks so much!! I know the friendly bees will help me out! :)

Good reminder on the restrictions for carry-on toiletries. My dad recently attempted to take a full-size toothpaste that had only 2 squirts of toothpaste left in it and it was confiscated. Obviously the remaining volume was well below the maximum, but the screeners went by the sizing on the packaging…. goofy.
